Not really sure, but please try following:
- setting your system locale to Japanese: http://fuwanovel.org/faq/setting-windows-to-japanese-locale
- install K-lite codec pack: http://www.free-codecs.com/k_lite_codec_pack_download.htm

This was a surprisingly good game. The story and the characters were all great (personally really liked Shigure), the voice acting was great, the music was great, the art was great. Basically everything about the game was great. Probably one of the best VNs I've ever played. That and the fact that scenes in general, not just the sex scenes, were animated was brilliant.

Since it's Vol. 1 I assume there will be more games involving the other catgirls? If so I hope there'll be one about Shigure too. Quite obvious she has romantic feelings for her Nii-sama.

I really hope other VN companies learn from Neko Works and translate their games as it was a pleasant surprise to see that it had the option for english text. Will be buying this game and the others to support Neko Works. I'd also like to see more VN companies animate sex scenes, and scenes in general.

1. Extract the GR144678 folder using winrar to your preferred destination (I chose my Downloads folder).
2. Open the folder and double click RJ144678.part1
3. Extract it to your preferred destination (I picked the same folder where RJ144678.part1 was)
4. Open the extracted folder
5. Run setup.exe
6. Choose installation directory (such as C:/Games)
7. Play the game and enjoy

This is just what I did though. Hope this helps and good luck!

From the .part1 rar file only. It should have an arrow pointing up on it.

You can ignore those. Just double click .part1 (with the arrow pointing up), choose where you want to extract the contents of .part1 (which will be a folder) then proceed with the steps as I directed on page 1. If you do that, it should install just fine and then all you have to do is double click nekopara_vol1.exe and play.
