I get an error on win 10

it seems it can't load a file from bin when I try to start a "new game".

The application starts fine, and I can modify its settings, but once I try to start a new game it gives me an error. I installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 from he iso but that's not the problem...

Any help will be appreciated. Never had problems with other games, but I've tried uninstalling, and installing again after making sure the download wasn't corrupt, and even tried another version (2d.G.F.) but I still get the same error. Does it only work on earlier versions of Windows perhaps?
