There is something wrong in the path; the character asterisk has special functions and cannot use in file and folder names.

The game at startup checks the installation path in the OS registry. If it does not match the original (created when installing the game with DVD), it gives an error. This release is a simple copy of the game directory (folder), of course the installation paths do not match, so the error will be displayed ALWAYS !!! I'm sorry, I was wrong. The game normally starts under the JAPANESE console, even when using the Microsoft Applocale. And this is really JUST USA release. All in English and without censorship.

This is untrue. No such registry entry exists and no such comparison is made. The game can be run from any path, as long as it is a valid path, as pizzamargherita suggested. The path within the torrent definition contains the ＊ character, which is different than the * character. If your OS is incapable of properly displaying an ＊ character it may perform a substitution, in which case you just need to rename the directory to something valid. For example, I renamed my directory from "D:\[171024] [JAST USA] Eiyuu＊Senki - The World Conquest + Patch 1.02" to "D:\Eiyuu-Senki" and the game ran fine.
