If you follow your thief friend's quest you can find a pair of shoes that cancel them (names 忍足 with skill 忍び足) in the top right corner of the area he leads you to.

You need to find and kill some criminals with mr smart boy (that should have joined when you entered the labyrinth)

They are one level below the entrance, next to a waterfall when you enter through the left stairway

Thanks bro. I find random encounter annoying as hell nowadays and its silly in this game when there are plenty of visible enemies, almost pointless to have them.
