P.S. For some reason, Windows insists the menu.exe in the DVD image contains a virus (but of course this actually isn't true) and won't let me run it. Running install.exe won't help, as it will fire up menu.exe at the end of the installation, which will fail miserably due to the same reason. Luckily, the game can still run happily by manually copying the contents of the "image" sub-folder to a local disk.

Do note that I haven't finished any route yet, but if you switch on the easy mode, the game pretty much tells you what to do (open Setting/Config/システム設定, then switch on the Easy Mode/イージーモード). You probably have to do many playthroughs this way, though.

There are a few guides to the original version of the game which allege to cover all 14 girls in two playthroughs, but some things are different in the remake. No matter which guide you pick, there are steps which aren't doable in the remake.

As for the missing of Mai at the very beginning: I bet that's a bug, as, in the "flag schedule" page, there's a marker on the very first day (August 10), indicating there should be an event for her on that day (just like other heroines that also have a marker for them).

There are also video guides to the Win98 version (there are apparently 3 versions of this game: DOS, Win98, and Remake).

Again, there are differences with the Remake version, so only use it as a reference until someone posted the up-to-date walkthrough or even the complete save.

After watching the video guide, it seems that in-game time doesn't always advance whenever the screen changes in the older version, hence the delay. My lazy ass skipped through it the first time, but the guide did actually warn about time discrepancies, so my apologies.

Sometimes you need to trigger another girl's "flag" to unlock the event. You can check it by enabling Easy Mode and opening the "flag schedule".
