I didn't play the first one, so I'll try directly the second "enhanced" one I think, more like a strategy game than a full fledged ntr I suppose. It seems to be just the next in the series rather than a direct follow on. New characters, same situation and mechanic.
I was able to play the first with ITH, though that's only the story text. To understand the interface I had to read a labelled .jpg that someone put up in the thread for us that explain what everything did.
As for the story and such, you don't remember the first one? It was pretty similar and is actually a strategy conquest game with reasonably good playability. It's the one where you have a number of heroines under your command all of who you have varying degrees of closeness to, and if a unit lead by that heroine is defeated she will be captured and deliver to the enemy leader. You still have a chance to rescue her if you beat the enemy fast enough, but the more time passes with her as a prisoner, the greater the chance she'll get stolen by the enemy. While you're playing and while the heroine is taken prisoner, you get indication that an h-scene is taking place on her side and you can see it if you choose to. Both games pretty much follow along these lines, so the only downside is that you have to play badly to get NTR scenes.
In the first one you play a junior knight commanding a small outpost who has gained some prestige by defending against and defeating barbarian raiders on the borders. During the opening chapter the kingdom falls and the knight's outpost is the last remaining point of resistance and it's left to him to restore the princess to the throne and regain their lands, etc.
Not much information has been given about the plot in the second, all I've found is that you can choose from three nations each with a young queen, play as the young man chosen as her strategist and aim to conquer the eight other nations on the continent. Otherwise it's much the same as the first game without some improvements and new features.
Not a focused NTR story, though the plot isn't half bad. It's good if you want interactive NTR where you can fight to prevent it happening, or you can mentally roleplay the commander who puts his duty over his personal feelings and focuses on the mission over his own desire to save the girl and lets the NTR happen. It's definitely worth a play.
Thanks for all the intel :)
So true, understanding better what's going makes a real difference. But the ntrpg serie is awesome even played in Japanese.I wish more Netorare games would be translated into English. It's really a sad day that it doesn't get enough attention from translators.
Don't get me wrong VNR+ITH+Atlas+bing+google+Dictionary help a lot, but it's just not the same as a good translation.
A good example,
