So... I finally cleared Kabe no Mukou no Tsuma no Koe 1, thanks to you mrecchiman.

And... Well, wow. It's an heart-breaking game. I played Kabe no Mukou no Tsuma no Koe 2 before the first, so I had no idea that the first would be darker than the second. But, well, as always, Anim Team.MM did an excellent job. I love Kabetuma 2 (and Chinatsu, indeed, his main Marina-like heroine), but actually, even if the sprites aren't animated, if think that I prefer the first one.

In conclusion, after playing and reading the story of Hiroto and Nodoka in this game, I'm really wondering how the Japanese mens and womens could be this dumb. Maybe that's their social model, but in fact, more than 50% of married couples in Japan have no more sexual relationships after one child or more than 2-3 years of life together. Being sexless that quickly, that easily when married... I just don't understand.

Well... At least, Hiroto deserved to be NTRed and cuckolded by Nodoka and Masataka.

Yet, I don't understand why a lot of Japanese husbands and wives can't see each other as man and woman anymore after a certain point. Perhaps it's because I'm French, so an occidental people, but it's a mystery for me...

Glad to have helped. It's probably my favorite NTR game. Anim Team.MM usually makes quality stuff but there's usually something like an out of place lolicon sex scene in some of their other games that I'm not a fan of so I deduct a point from their score... while Kabe 1 doesn't bother me in any way and is basically perfect IMO.

Earlier this year there was a user I think his name was Cerberus Eros who had an fc2 video channel and blog. What he did was basically upload A LOT of eroge games including Kabe 1 but there were English translations included!

Not 100% sure but it could've just been Visual Novel Reader stacked on top (I personally never bothered trying to use it); however the male characters had voice acting (still Japanese I think) even though the original games didn't. The male voices sounded a bit stiff and robotic so either it was some program with auto speech, a fan-dub or maybe some kind of bootleg (voices of the women were untouched though; exact same as the original)

Either way I was actually able to understand mostly what was happening for part of the story until the channel got shut down; I guess it caught the attention of companies plus it was kind of shady; the guy had a Pay Pal option and some videos were restricted to paying fc2 accounts only.

I care more about visuals than actually reading if there's no proper English translation so it was somewhat useful for the short time it was available.

I usually don't bother hooking text with ITH and using google translation unless it's a game I really like but since I liked Kabe 1 and I only got to understand about 1/3 of the game before Cerberus Eros shut down I actually spent some time trying to understand the rest of the game. I'm sure I missed some stuff but I picked up some details I didn't originally notice before.

Doubt there will be a fan translation since it's a long game but hopefully a company like Manga Gamer can pick it up and dedicate a lot of resources and staff on it. I have emailed them about it in the past so never say never; I suggested Marina and that got picked up!

TL;DR Kabe 1 is awesome, not easy trying to find other games on the same level that I haven't already played. Even if an NTR game has above average writing and good voice actresses I find it somewhat difficult to be interested if the character designs do nothing for me. I guess one of the reasons I prefer NTR games is more often than not the wife or heroine is usually extremely attractive.

Yeah i know what you mean, where i live people are fucking sinc earound fucking 12! And i am not talking about the obvious abuse cases, ther eis plenty of 13, 14 or 15 YO couples around, of course that is also bad, the amount of street children prove sit.

Anyway back on topic i can see why ther eis so much porn and fetishes, that frustration needs to be expresse somehow, or "liberated", i also think it has something to do with how men see their wives there, they see them as an item, almost a glorified caretaker, just there to cook, clean and watch the kids.

So I appreciated all the story in detail. Actually, I wouldn't have played this game if I couldn't understand in detail what the story was and put a sense to these amazing and hot as fuck animated CGs.

For what I know about Japan : This country isn't as liberal as our countries (France, England, USA, etc.) in termes of customs and way of life. Japanese people have an extremely conservative social model, which is basically the fact of finding a spouse, finding a socially integrated work and making a child quickly to reproduct the "perfect" social model which is not really perfect if it's not the life that you really want.

On this old social model has been added the consumer society, which litteraly broke down Japanese customs by... Liberalizing and individualizing them when they were absolutely not liberal to begin. And Japanese among all people are crazy consumers, so they embraced our system without doubt. But actually, that created an insane amount of problems like Ikkikomori, suicids, prostitutions, maybe even these sexless marriages... For the mains reasons that Japanese are educated to follow a collective movements. They are like kids, when people start to do several and varied movements, they don't know how and what to do. So our cultural liberalism comes to confront their culture.

And about that strange sexless marriage, I'm not sure about your biological explication of human life and human sex cycle though. This seems highly speculative for me. I agree that the sexual atraction isn't always eternal between a man and a woman. But in Japan, this phenomenon tends to be systematic really really quickly, so there is undoubtly a problem here... ^_^

That's also why I really like NTR Games like Kabetuma 1... Theses games casually show all of these social contradictions with a funny side at it.
