You're confusing the Japanese/Asian fandom with the Western one, I think. 0% of Japanese fans will play an English language title. It's not marketable to them for me (I can't even post on 2chan), and not playable for them. And there's a reason Japanese NTR eroge titles are rarely translated to English: its expensive and translating the other way around would be as well, if not more so to do it well. It's not a reachable audience for me and not comparable to the Western audience in terms of taste.

I think a Western audience wants different things from their games. People in this thread (including myself) like Japanese NTR eroge, but keep in mind that 3.5 million views in over 7 years is absolutely nothing. It's a niche and the few hundred fans lurking here all like different things.

I strongly disagree with that western audience wants different things.
Take Yakuza series as an example, i dont think its much hyped in the west, but pretty much all westerners who played fallen in love with it, same with many other japanese series like Persona, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil and many other. Their critical acclaim by westerners proves that audience here does enjoy same things as Japanese.

But i agree with that they are kinda niche in the west with somewhat low sales and i dunno why. I think one of the biggest reasons is that just not that mainstream here yet. There also some hating on "weeb" culture and everything related and it may stopping people from trying and figuring out that they actually love it. Pretty much same goes for hentai, its quite new concept here but i think its getting more popular every year. And i think more hentai on Steam will boost its popularity, if only they stopped arbitrary banning some games :(

I feel kinda sad when people create work of art only just because its popular instead of doing what they personally want to do (create). Those works imo always ends up mediocre and are quickly forgotten. I think its better to create masterpiece for 100 people than something mediocre for 100 000. Edit. I kinda meant to say When they compromise their work (art) to get wider audience.
But again its your game and you should do whatever you feel is right.

This is as good a place to start from, i mean i am going to add or correct some things from the video: water, even before the blackout there were problems i am from Maracaibo wich is a state capital and another big city here and we have similar problems if not worse, the water pumps weren't working well even before the blakout, that just finished them off.

Most of that video is from day 2 or maybe 3 because by day 4 there just weren't bussiness open, for that matter most of the shots came from day 1 because the only places open after that were those with perishables trying to sell them off (and some bastards trying to rip people off).

This may be the most important part i want to correct: it wasn't "most" it was ALL, some states had power in some parts but by the next day even those went dark, the whole system collapsed with bank transactions near imposible to be made, card readers not working, etc. They mention hospitals and i can tell you many more people than the "official" count died, those bastards didn't install any plant in the main hospital, those are all lies, emergencies weren't working, patients in the UCIs were dying (the more time passed the worse it got), clinics also weren't working beause as expensive as they are they don't make enough to install plants and don't have near enough to bear the weight of all of it.

I almost laughed at the caraqueña (the girl from caracas) complaining about walking from her home, here is worse because of the sun =S

Another thing i want to correct is the "self appointed" part about Guaido, self appointed my ass, he was appointed by the national assembly, basically congress or parliament, under the constitution, and for all the people going to ask "and why doens't he call for elections?", he HAS from fricking day 1, honestly that 1 comment conviced me CNN is either a bunch of pussies or on their side.

And that video doesn't even mention the looting that took place, looting that at least here in maracaibo was promoted and pseudo guided by the gorvernor here, because almost all shots and supermarkets hit were from independent or international owners, police wasn't present, the national guard wasn't either (and Padrino was on tv saying the army was out to guard the street HA!) if anything the few that were around were participating and at least in 1 case actually robbing the looters. The national guard and police only made appearences when bussiness owned by the governor or other "enchufados". hell there is 1 big place with many stores close to my home looted where and store owned by the governor (Omar Prieto) that was right in front wasn't touched because he had some guards there. 1 theory that is scary in how posible it is is that he let go on like that so he could buy the business now, today ther eis a reunions with the owners victimized by it and i bet he will try to buy some or "loan" them the money to recover......

And i wish all those looters die, what hunger and what shit, someone with hunger won't rob a shoe store or a fucking bookstore, today i hear at least 1 business owner offered 5000$ for the head or information on the heads on some criminal bands, and i bet those that either reopen or weren't looted will arm themselves, i know a few bussines that saved themselves because they were armed. The problem now will be food and were the fuck to buy it =S

There's not a chance I'll make even half the money I spend on the project back and $10,000 is a very low estimate (I'm probably in way deeper than that on Swing & Miss already and the art for the new title will be more expensive), but that's alright, I just want to make it without it seriously affecting my life. I don't care about the perspective (as long as it's not netori), so I'll go with a third person perspective since I think that will attract more people. And I'll make more decisions like that if I personally don't care about it being the one way or the other.

Not gonna take a loan for it since that would be affecting my real life, the Patreon should lessen the burden enough for me to pay it on a monthly basis. Also not possible to take a loan for something like this in my country, and I know since I would be the one who declines such a request for a loan.

Well I've been playing some Heiantei (sad panda gallery link) titles recently and i can say most of their newer (2013 and after) games have most stuff from this list. They got some especially good Lingerie sprites like

Don't know if anyone else mentioned it before but Atelier Sakura's coming out with a new game on the last day of May, https://twitter.com/Atelier__Sakura/status/1106361269412478976. It seems to be a sequel to https://vndb.org/v22760 (game has an english translation out). The original is what I consider pretty good for an Atelier Sakura game so I'm looking forward to the sequel. I just hope they don't make the same mistakes that are present in https://vndb.org/v24381 since it felt very lacking as a sequel.

This has probably been asked before but- are there any main characters besides futa and wife who will have scenes?... And if so- do you do any justice for other bodytypes or is bigbreasts just something that comes with your artstyle?.. It's fine to not answer as well and I like things to be suspenseful more than anything- but should I not get my hopes up at all about that?

Like whether or not NTR fans are your true market- If it's just a passion project it doesn't matter what genres you dip into- since you shouldn't feel the need to dip into any just to grab attention of any one niche group. Obviously here in this thread we would want you to dip FURTHER into the genre... but if the NTR idea came after the fact just so you could get some better marketing then it might be disappointing going into it expecting it to be a bigger part. I don't know anything about the game- do you have a website or something that has more details? Is it multiple perspectives?- I assume it follows the wife. .. Idk. IDONTKNOW. Completely agree, both endings of the first game were pretty good and a sequel following up either of the endings sounds awesome. I really hope the trip to France was canon because it really got that ntr going, even though it was only for a short while which I liked more compare to the other ending's scene where it seemed like the wife and her office buddy was done. I can see either ending being canon but I really hope they don't do what they did to Mariko and ditch the guy from the first game and replace him with another one, but if they do, at least put in a true ntr ending. Bu yeah, wait and see.

I guess it's worth noting that the new hige to deko game DOES have ntr in it. Like most of their works- (even the ones not labeled NTR usually have a small route-) this is no exception. It's not centered around it or anything but it's there. And there's multiple long routes just pure NTR- not extremely well done but you'll find them if you look hard enough. There's even some where you control the guy- and learn things in a pseudo-mystery type deal slowly. I'm actually surprised this one doesn't have the tag- because there's definitely a big chunk of scenes for it.

There's not a chance I'll make even half the money I spend on the project back and $10,000 is a very low estimate (I'm probably in way deeper than that on Swing & Miss already and the art for the new title will be more expensive), but that's alright, I just want to make it without it seriously affecting my life. I don't care about the perspective (as long as it's not netori), so I'll go with a third person perspective since I think that will attract more people. And I'll make more decisions like that if I personally don't care about it being the one way or the other.

Not gonna take a loan for it since that would be affecting my real life, the Patreon should lessen the burden enough for me to pay it on a monthly basis. Also not possible to take a loan for something like this in my country, and I know since I would be the one who declines such a request for a loan.

I think Gnoomus is right. I think you should just stop adding stuff people like but you don't, and stop thinking what will sell and what won't. If you don't like "almost caught situations" don't put them in your game just because some picky annoying dude suggest you to do so (yes, I'm talking about me). I think you should do a NTR game with all the things about NTR you really love, and don't put anything you don't, the same goes for futanari. If someone suggest you to add something they like and you like it then add it, if you don't like it then don't add it. As long as you do a game with a strong NTR feeling and with a good futanari character, with all the things you love about both genres, and some other things people like and you don't mind, then your game is probably gonna be good. The only thing you should avoid at all cost is to half-ass the genre (like when you said that you were thinking into doing the NTR avoidable).

When I played Boku Mama x Tomo Mama Koukan Hameppu Life I couldn't enjoy it, even when I knew that the NTR was kind of dissapointing. I tried to play it as a Straight-Shota X Milf fan only, ignoring it was a NTR game, but I couldn't really enjoy it that way either. There was this kind of annoying feeling whenever I played that game, I couldn't help to feel it was such a big waste. That's because ANIM tried to pleased everyone, making the NTR avoidable and it felt like a half-assed NTR-shota game. And that comes from a big Straight-Shota fan as myself. If you want to make a NTR game, with futanari or withouth it, make sure for it to have a strong NTR feeling, or else it would be better to make a futanari vainilla game.

Even if you make a futanari vainilla game it would be great as long as you make it with all the things you as a futanari fan love about it. In fact, there are no good games with a dominant futanari out there. In most futanari games, the futanari character is the submisse one. I would definetly pay for a good futanari game with a dominant horny futanari that would fuck girls to oblivion (like the one in Spermatank for instance), even if it's not NTR. And that's a good example how a genre can be popular even if there are not games like that in the market. Futanari is really popular, but strange enough, there are not many futanari games out there.

To summarize, my point is: If you make a NTR futanari game, make it so that it would be good as a NTR game alone, or a futanari game alone. That way you won't only please people that like NTR and futanari, but also people that like one of the two and don't mind the other. And don't try to water down one of the genres to appeal people. Finally, make it with things you love about those genres, not with what other people tell you to do (at least you like it as well, or you don't mind it).

You must be hating me by now, but believe me when I said that I'm one of the people that wants you to succed the most. Making something that didn't go well (Swing n Miss) and triving to keep going, making a new game instead of giving up is something admirable, I trully respect you for that. If your game is good, you will gain yourself a new supporter (me).

Finally, the wife looks freaking hot!!! Is this a diferent artist from the one that design the futanari?

It seems to be a sequel to https://vndb.org/v22760 (game has an english translation out). The original is what I consider pretty good for an Atelier Sakura game so I'm looking forward to the sequel. I just hope they don't make the same mistakes that are present in https://vndb.org/v24381 since it felt very lacking as a sequel.

Seriously, wtf is wrong with Jinsei, they just announced that they're gonna change the schedule again, I already lost the count of how many times they changed it.

A few weeks ago they said the Cosplay in summer and the Tennis in winter, and now they say they can only think about the Tennis and they are gonna focus on that one.

They will announce the new schedule soon, but I guess they are just gonna change the order, Tennis in summer and Cosplay in winter.

Sweet, finally a sequel for one of the better @sakura game , that ending really open up a way for sequel but I hope they keep the ntr guy from the first one instead of jumping to another man. This is the one thing I hate about @sakura sequel, they developed 1 ntr guy for first game and instead of using that as a template and make the plot goes to 11 they just make a new guy instead.

I use locale emulator with with fake Japanese interface option or what ever its called in English (3rd option) for heiantei/tinkerbell games because without it text in game is just mess of symbols, i strongly recommend playing their games, at least those two that i mentioned - NTR with mom and reverse NTR with teasing milf
