I know that a lot of forums like this along with torrent and warez sites were recently blocked in the UK.
But as far as Chinese sites being shut down its pretty hard to do since they dont adhere to the U.S. and UN led fight against piracy. China,North Korea, and Russia are among the leaders in copyrighted piracy, hacking, and identity theft in the world. Some of these countries send gifted hackers to school to fine tune their hacking skills for government use. Countries can block websites located in their country just like China, Korea, Russia and other countries block websites that they dont want their people to see.
Most Communist dont believe in free open web for their people like the more Democratic countries have and they block a lot of available web content to their people that they think might cause problems with their beliefs and, government and leadership. And yet they are among the world leaders in hacking, identity theft, fraud and money theft.
Since they dont adhere to the fight against piracy its pretty hard to shut sites located in their country down. Its up to individual countries to block them if they choose to.
I wouldn't worry about this site being shut down. Fighting against online piracy has been going on since the late 90`s. No real progress has been made. Its more of a losing battle. Even in countries that fight piracy. People use vpn`s and hacked routers. Sometimes some sites like these are shut down and then others like it start up again under slightly different names. Torrent sites are gone after more than sites that just have host outside file-host links.
Unless this site gets completely shut down if it just gets shut down in your country you can always find a good vpn to gain access to the website. For those that dont know about VPN sites they allow you to use ip`s located all over the world so you could get choose an ip in Korea, China or any country not blocking the website to gain access to this website.
I personally like file-host links over torrents peer to peer, ftp, etc.because unlike most torrent links file-hosting sites usually encrypt their files. It helps some downloading encrypted files over once that arent encrypted for isp`s that monitor what you download.
Ive known of a lot of people getting warning letters fro their isp`s for downloading unencrypted torrents. Some of the letters even came from the music ,movie industries etc. When files are unencrypted your isp and anyone else monitoring can see exactly what you are downloading. Food for thought. When you are using a vpn though anyone outside your isp cant track the files to your address since your ip location is changed with the use of vpn.
Few end users ever (downloaders)get in trouble but it happens occasionally and has happened to people in the past so it really helps to cover yourself (as a just in case) by choosing encrypted files over non-encrypted. No one ever worries about consequences until after the fact. My take on it is better to be safe than sorry and cover yourself as much as possible.
