I've been thinking of watching them but I'm not sure. I do like cute anime but I just don't want it to be the same as all the same cute anime I've watched.

Yes, they were. Most of the characters of Love Live! School Idol Project series are cute, especially to Rin Hoshizora, Hanayo Koizumi, Nico Yazawa of µ’s, Ruby Kurosawa of Aqours, Kasumi Nakasu and Rina Tennōji of the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club and Chisato Arashi of Liella! I had admired a lot of girls that are beautiful and cute, especially that I like the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club after Aqours as they're shining their way to create dreams and thrills in the Nijigasaki Academy. Of course, most of the girls of NijiGaku are my favorites such as Ayumu Uehara, Shizuku Ōsaka (her birthday is today (April 3):)), Kanata Konoe, Setsuna Yūki and Emma Verde, but I also admired other girls from other school idol groups such as Honoka Kōsaka, Kotori Minami and Hanayo Koizumi of µ’s and Chika Takami, Riko Sakurauchi, Dia Kurosawa, Hanamaru Kunikida and Ruby Kurosawa of Aqours. I didn't have a favorite character from Love Live! Superstar!! yet, but to be honest, Kanon Shibuya, Keke Tang and Chisato Arashi are very productive in my opinion.

By the way, the first episode of the second season of Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club had been aired yesterday. You should check it out because Shioriko Mifune, Mia Taylor and Lanzhu Zhong have finally made their appearance while Yu Takasaki and the entire NijiGaku have returned where they left off after the first season.:)

Yeah, Love Live! - is a really good series if you're into warm, musical and atmospheric stuff. It's all built around high school idol groups, and despite their apparent simplicity, the characters are very charismatic and memorable. Each character has their own thing going on, and their growth is fun to watch.

The music is a separate topic. There are a lot of songs, and they are diverse: there are cute pop songs, and unexpected tracks with jazz, electronica and even rock. If you get hooked, you'll be listening to their playlists at least in the background.

Plus, it's not just an anime - it's a whole ecosystem: concerts, games, live events with seiyuu, and tons of merch. If you get sucked in, you'll go deep.

I liked the first season very much, Sunshine - average for the most part, and the last part I don't even want to watch (because the bar will be much lower than the original).

Thanks, but I think I'll stick with enjoying the porn
Don't worry, I can vouch that the cute girls are perfect ingredients for all the high-quality ero-doujins and ero-CGs on the internet. Which more than made up for the sheer lack of eroticism in the source material. The H artists really went to town, for real. Like a horde of perverted Santas, bringing gifts to all the degenerates in the world.

:chuuni_kraken:

All you can think about is perversion... learn to watch regular anime too.
I mean, why not both? I can vouch that I'm both a stanky hiki-neet otaku and a degenerate beyond salvation.

Love Live franchise has some of the best production values I see from the idol genre. The storytelling is your standard saccharine-laden CGDCT (cute girl doing cute things), if that's your cup of tea.

If you prefer a lil' bit of realism, maybe the Wake Up, Girls franchise would be a better fit for you. If you want idol genre with a comedic flavor, then try the Zombieland Saga franchise.

ive liked love live a lot during elementary (about 10 years ago now) and despite being an adult i still continue to actively enjoy their content, while the newer gens in love live present less quality than the first ones (u's and aqours) the nostalgia remains there! only issue is love live mobile games have all been deleted so its kind of challenging to properly delve yourself into it if not for the anime, manga and live performances.

while the newer gens in love live present less quality than the first ones (u's and aqours)(abbreviated)
Bruh, please don't remind me of the increasingly falling production values. It's the sole reason why I get into and tapped out of the franchise in the first place. A bit sad to see what it had become...
