Hi there. New users sometimes get their post sent to the moderation queue. This is a side effect of our spam filters which treat posts with external links by new members as inherently suspicious. Our moderators approve such threads as soon as they're able to, but sometimes a user whose thread/post was previously moderated (i.e. hidden from public view) will need to edit their thread/post, which may inadvertently throw it back into moderation if our filters still consider said user as 'new enough to be suspicious of'.
That seems to be what happened here. The thread, however, remained in an "approved" state (i.e. visible to regular members) even as the post itself was rendered hidden, which is why all you saw was an empty thread. Please note that this isn't as bad as it may sound—our filters learn and will get increasingly less aggressive as new users post more legitimate posts.
The particular thread in question has now been fixed. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
