Well, cant say I have the best of luck.

Wasnt at home during christmas already, wont be home for new year's too. Same goes for upcoming Chinese New Year in late Jan.

Christmas Eve 2013 and New Years Eve 2013 both fell on a Tuesday.

But Christmas Day 2013 fell on a Wednesday, while New Years Day 2013 fell on a Tuesday, a year ago.

And while New Years Day 2014 fell yesterday on a Wednesday, Christmas Day 2014 will fall on a Thursday, this coming December.

Also, Christmas Eve 2014 and New Years Eve 2014 will both fall on a Wednesday.

It's a great one to tell friends!
