I forgot to mention this since I played some very old Visual Novel Engines and the latest (probably with the releases of Visual Novels this year) that some visual novel doesn't work with muti-core systems. In short, try running the game that had BSOD a few times with 1 to 2 cores for 30 minutes straight. Nothing fancy, it might be one of those visual novels that has a weird coding that causes BSOD only on that particular one.
Otherwise, try the others opinion about the issue. 50 Degrees on your system is considered still in the safe zone. Anything above 70 Degrees tend to be a worry depending on the part that reached that temperature.
I feel if you have a full day to a week to spare and is willing to do a full clean install on your PC (note: Must have OS ready to be re-installed and plenty of time to install every essential program), try doing a clean installation. It basically put your computer in a clean state in short. Although it may be annoying to go through if you are not tech savvy and have a spare laptop or PC to use when things go very wrong.
