Yea that's possible too but that mostly for new patients.
The law had a slight change and now you can just drop by in a local clinic if you have some kind of physical problem.

Not necessarily, it's just that we get more people who actually have a problem.
I don't really know how to explain that.. =/

It's not entirely free (I think)
That's what health insurance over here is for.
It covers a great deal of the costs..but I'm not sure if it's free..

Free clinics, but there not set up as good as a hospital... I wouldn't want to go to one...
If a patient comes into the ER without insurance, the doctors don't get pay to treat the patient.
So when the patient is stable enough they let them go. (hence the term treat them and street them)
