Sorry for my English.

I'm the only one who is having problems with the forum ?

Since 2 weeks or so, sometimes when I enter the forum an error 520 screen appears, and I have to refresh the page a lot of times.

I didn't say it earlier because I guessed everyone was having the problem and it would be fixed, but since 2 weeks have passed and anyone else has complained, I decided to make a thread.

I think the problem is with the host of the web, since that's what the error screen says.

No, you're not the only one. I've the same problem, I get the same error very often and it's really annoying...
EDIT: For some reason it doesn't happen as often on any of my computers... But browsing thru the forum on my phone is hell :sigh:

What does it say on https://www.cloudflarestatus.com/ for the nearest locations for you, Yadoumi, when you get errors?
El Psy Kongroo, when you're having issues on the phone, do a ping, then look up which node the IP belongs to. Sorry, but mobile carriers are pretty terrible with routing.

Yeah I also thought it might be just in my location, because it would have been surely fixed by now...but for me it doesn't happen so often or not at all anymore, atleast on PC guess they've had some issues....

The top page says "Minor Service Outage" , and then there is 2 in my country, one says "re-routed" and the other says "operational"

I too get the 520 error, though doesn't make a difference if I'm on my phone or laptop.

Try adding the following line to your hosts file (start Notepad as administrator, then navigate to %windir%\System32\drivers\etc ):

104.25.24.115 www.anime-sharing.com

See if that fixes the 520 errors for you or if you still get them. Please note that this will reduce browsing speed somewhat, so make sure to remove it after diagnostics are done.

Broken Image Link and Forum Error (!)

I mentioned this before but something happened today, I changed my avatar and after I changed it, wherever I go my avatar image link looks broken, I tried to open the image link in new tab but I got 520 forum error. Also I tried using different browser/different phones (logged in or logged out) my avatar photo doesn't show up and I always get forum error. What's causing this? Because I'm very very annoyed.

It's almost certainly the same problem. If you got a 520 error—or, indeed, any kind of error at all—while trying to upload an avatar, the upload most likely didn't go through, which is why it didn't show up. We're still looking into the problem, making sure our endpoints and servers don't choke between themselves and all that. We just have our hands full with more pressing real-life concerns.

Thank you for your understanding, and apologies for the lack of timely response to tackling the problem.

It's okay, I respect each of you. I'll be looking forward for the good news then. :)

I thought that my browser was just broken. I was trying to fix it for weeks since I've had a separate problem that made my Chrome browser crash (Fixed now btw).

Has this been fixed? I'm getting more 520s than before
It says "In Progress" although it's Cloudflare that has some issues, since there are more sites that out of nowhere get this error.
I guess we will just have to suffer thru it till they fix it.

EDIT: In Cloudflare's statement they're stating they fixed it already anyways, as Ignis said they're working on it so let's just wait. :goodtea:

Just want to say that I also have the problem with the Error 520.

In my case I only noticed the error so far when clicking on the link in one of the emails I get because I've turned on the notifications for new posts.

For me the problem is solved when opening the thread over the AS mainpage, so for me it's not that of an annoying problem. Which means, as long as I'm on the mainpage everything works fine for me. Maybe this could help others as well :)

Why is the website down so often? (Cloudflare Error)

I noticed this for some weeks now. Often I get some Cloudflare Error and the site is not reachable.
Reloading a few minutes later often fixes it but then again the Cloudflare Error comes at some point.
Mostly between 1pm and 7pm European time.

Is the website under Dos attack?
I was wondered that nobody else seems to complain about it.

Unless you use home WiFi for your mobile internet, that's expected. Carriers (mobile service providers) generally have poor peering compared to landline/cable ISPs and less reliability overall.

Is the website under Dos attack?
No.

Aw shucks, the nostalgia. I remember that after lurking for a while, I finally decide to make this account and socialize for a bit. Too bad I forgot the damn password. I should really start to note them down somewhere.

This account I'm currently typing with, had to be my 4th one. Totally forgot the name of the first one I made for lurking, coz I was still paranoid of this site back then.
