LOLOLOLOLOL... My fav part was Skyrim on Gamecube.. ROFLMAO..... That would be epic if skyrim came out on gamecube... Cause I actually own a gamecube -.-

Oh yeah and to answer the question... I don't really care if theres girl gamers or not.. But if I ever play with one or against one ill be like...

Mmm as man centric as i can be... the only thing that i can add is that i want a gf that likes to play videogames with me. It would be excellent to have someone who understand games as an expresion of our culture, knows a lot about them and enjoy them wholeheartly.

I am not so sure about that statement Snow.... I know some girls that are the exact opposite :P

Now, us guys have lives and are responsible. Our extra life counter is around a hundred, but mostly over 9000 and with an extra life granted every 10,000 points. As for responsibility, we are second to none. We always complete every single quest we have in our log. We never leave a game without pausing and saving. We use our consoles as drink coasters... to uh give maximum cooling effect. Bah the list of responsibleness goes on and on :D

... When I think about it, I used to know a girl from my High School days that actually plays Eroge games and completes it. It's just she wasn't too open about it unless she talks to someone that she thinks that doesn't care about her private hobbies. With that said, she also plays console games and other games like Tekken 5.

Well it's been ages since I met people from my past but that was how it was back then.

-raises hand- same here. I'm a girl, and I've played so many different games. Games geared towards girls like otome games, then Kingdom Hearts and Persona 4 and other RPGs, MMOs. I think the only games I don't really play much of are shooters ^^; But yeah, I can see where some may come from with not many people seeing girls who play games

Me personally, I live in the southern US, and fellow girl gamers are especially rare out here. Heck, it's hard for me to meet real hardcore guy gamers down here. Though I do have a small group of friends I like to play games with. As it is, none of them are girls. It's kind of disheartening >> Still, I think it's great that it's starting to become more common :D

^It tend to be a universal thing to be honest that there's just not many people that play video games for their own interests. I've seen more people play it to fit in with other people but not in the sense where it's their actual hobby.

Regardless, I'm more a casual player as I tend to prioritize other things in life before going back into a game.

I'm a girl gamer, so it's not so strange for me to see girls gaming. I still remember when my mother first placed a controller in my hands and said, "Daughter, this is what life is all about." j/k

But seriously, my mother, my sisters, and I all play video games. So did all my female friends while growing up. I found it strange when I met my first friend in high school who didn't game. She didn't mind watching everyone else play, but she never really wanted to pick the controller up and join in.

So I guess it's all about where you live. Or maybe gamers just attract other gamers?

Games are meant to be fun for anyone and some are aimed towards girls so i really dont see where the rumor that gaming girls are rare comes from =w= Thought i suppose it also goes with that rumor that there are no girls on the internet... =w=

haha, well I think, just by guessing that the rumor comes from times older. Time changes. The way it is today is not how it's always been, I'm still catching up and learning this to this day, as what was not so normal maybe a not too long time ago, is, or has and is becoming so today more and more. Guys are still the majority even now, even more so some years back. So I think it's just a matter of updating with the changes of times. Therefore I don't blame anyone who hasn't "noticed yet" But I can imagine if girls keep getting a surprised reaction over and over it might get a bit "old" for them. But that will dissipate as a newer generation of younger and younger gamers become a bigger and bigger part of the gaming community and general online society.

Being a typical geek, just isn't as geeky as it used to be. What was geeky before is now just normal. Maybe I could word that differently but I won't bother. You can all imagine it for yourselves I'm sure.
