Got me a bit worried...

yo nuke japan so we can never watch anime again
Well, that would the less problem be for us, because there would some thousands of poor victims die, where then material thought not really important be, out of naturally food and water.:goodtea:~>

Frankly speaking, the reason why US 'did not' use a nuke on North Korea would be trying to stay on the Just side of things. Now days, people are more worried about their political image in the international standing than anything else. For that reason alone, you don't want to be recorded the man/women who signed off to have a country nuked and turned against you from other international communities (countries).

With that said, North Korea considering to Nuke a country would start a full scale war with South Korea and if China would most likely not want to be the one supporting aggressors openly.

With that said, there's some technologies where it can take down nuclear missiles in the air before it hits the target but I can not advise anything about it.

Right now the eyes are split to multiple counties that are already in war, in suspicion and considered a threat for different counties and leaders.

----

And using a previous war example on how the US ended the war with Japan wasn't the greatest idea of a show of power that can be used. As the US already is reluctant to use their nukes in case of other countries following the suit to use it against them as retaliation for their usage.

Yes; our elected American leaders are a little limp wristed when it comes to dealing with North Korea. This is mainly due to not wanting to upset China.

North Korea is no threat, they are just blustering. The number of troops North Korea has is irrelevant, their technology is 50's era tech. They don't have the fuel or resources to train their pilots, let alone wage a war. It has been estimated that North Korea would make initial gains within the first 24-48 hours, but the South Korean military could crush them alone if they wanted, being vastly technologically superior. The only real conventional threat North Korea poses is that they have alot of artillery stationed within distance of Seoul, the South Korean capitol. They could devastate the South Korean capitol within the first 24-48 hours before America and South Korea had time to respond.

Needless to say, America wouldn't stand for such aggression against her allies. It would only be a matter of time before America would retaliate. At that point, North Korea is doomed. if North Korea went to war against Iraq in 1991 or 2003, assuming they were mysteriously connected by land, North Korea would lose.

The North Koreans aren't stupid, everything they do, they're doing to preserve the Kim dynasty. The survival of their regime is their agenda and top priority. They make these threats to goad America into giving them food to help keep their little regime afloat when things get rough. But they know they are no match for South Korea, let alone her American allies.

The American military is vastly superior to all other nations on the globe combined, in a conventional war America would wipe the deck with her enemies.

The only real threat to America's interests in the region is China. Although the Chinese are improving on many fronts, their military is still vastly inferior to America's technologically. They have some modern technology, but in too few numbers to effect the outcome of any war and lack any ability to engage America. Plus America has Japan, Australia and South Korea in the region as well as military partners in Vietnam, India, the Philippines and Taiwan amongst others. China is effectively surrounded and is well aware of this. They will not do anything to jeopardize their economic progress or engage in a suicidal conventional war with America.

China's only real allies are Russia and Iran. Our European allies would no doubt aid in any such conflict against Russia, assuming we were the defender. Iran's military is incapable of doing anything other than defend their own borders for all intensive purposes.

North Korea has small nuclear weapons that they've managed to detonate, but has no ability to deliver them. Even if they managed to deliver a small nuclear warhead, they'd be incapable of nuking anything outside the immediate vicinity of Korea.

North Korea will never launch nuclear weapons except in some extreme circumstance.

First of all, China would probably be angry as hell that they are launching nuclear weapons for obvious reasons and condemn it, perhaps even support military action against them. Japan, if struck, would no doubt mobilize her forces. America would be demonstrably angry and would no doubt send several fleets to the regions to invade them with South Korea, Japan and probably units from Australia. The entire world would be outraged and china might try to help invade North Korea so they have leverage when the peace negotiations begin to protect their interests.

China would immediately deny all connections to Pyongyang at that point, connecting themselves to such a heinous act would undoubtedly be suicidal for China. China would be crushed alongside North Korea if she attempted to support them after launching a nuclear attack on Tokyo.

This is all assuming the United States didn't decide to commit to nuclear retaliation after the North Korean nuclear attack, of course that would mean the obliteration of North Korea. One would hope China and Russia wouldn't retaliate against American retaliation, that would mean nuclear holocaust.
