Looks like a pretty standard file to me. What kind of error where you encountering and what playback software did you use?

MPC and K-Lite mega pack with x64 support for playback is what I use. And the real issue is motion picture, I can't see even a frame.

Get the latest version of K-Lite both x86 and x64, then install, try play the video.

I ever countered the problem like you, and my problem is i using an old K-Lite, read in the K-Lite page, u need to install x86 version and x64 to run better in x64 system. (Read in K-Lite page, not my suggestion/opinion). ;)

I've updated all codecs, then I tried to playback the video again. Yet I tried to install even MPC-HC's x64 version, but the whole different was nothing :( I'm trying to re-encode the video via MeGui right now. Even if that won't work I don't know what to do because this is the only encode have been released for this movie.

What movie btw..? make me very curious.. lol.
did u try using a different PlayBack OutPut ? try using Haali Rendered or just try every single one. lol
and have another suggestion when re-installing k-lite, dont install in the same (old) folders, go for a new folders. sometimes is solving the playback promblems !

I have like 2500 different video files and they were playing fine, I can't believe this wasn't happening so far. This is a movie called "Huozhe". I'm so much confused about this infrequency. After all this is not that big deal, I'll watch it through my home theater anyway. Just because of the curiosity I HAVE TO SOLVE this problem :)

YEAH, VLC helped me watch it! I don't like it but it's good to know that the video isn't incorrect :)

Thanks for everyone tried to help me and solve my specific and complicated problem.

...

Uninstall whatever you have, remove all codec

Install CCCP

Else, I guess I can see you coming back here, crying within just a month or two living with VLC

You can always try to use LAV as decoder - works with everything bar damages files. :P

Checkmate, nope sir. I see you didn't get I said at last. I know how VLC sucks. FYI, mentioning about me like "crying" annoyed me a little.

Chill, I was joking ;)

VLC works just fine for me, only codecs in use are the ones that VLC came with.

Only problem I see with sound but no picture is a corrupted codec file from the third party provider or a mess up in the video players specific build....

Or the file wasn't converted properly and needs to be re-downloaded. (The internet itself could have botched the download)

Like I said, Will98 I have more than thosuand of HD videos which I can see and hear them just fine, but this. I downloaded them through the same internet connecton. And yes, I might agree with the encode issue. I checked out like twenty of them and compared. I saw something is going wrong. Check these and compare with that one you'll see:

The first one uses an ancient encoding library and is anamorphic. Which is weird, because you usually only find that in anamorphic DVD encodes. I suspect the second includes a DTS track, or at least more than one FLAC track.
It's also upsetting that both videos are encoded at constant bitrate instead of constant rate factor.
Given the stream sizes they're most likely not anime either.

I thought about that when I read the size differences, both are DVD files, one is a DL and the first one a single, but I'm still wanting to what site nr345 got it from.

Will98 and corocoro, I'm not the visitor of just one site. I'm trying to find what I'm looking for out there all over the internet. Both of them are motion pictures. First one has source of HDTV and the second has it Blu-Ray. First one is named "A Streetcar Named Desire", 1951 production and has very good quality with Mono AC-3 codec, I bet that is the top quality encode available for this release. Second on is named "Tae Guk Gi", 2004 production and has 6 channels Korean DTS stream, and I bet on this the same too. What is my problem is what is the "real" difference between these encodes and should I encode the first one (Huozhe) again?

Tae Guk Gi? That's a good movie. Made me cry near the end of the movie.
Have you consider of DL the movie from other site, like Extra Torrent perhaps? Couldn't hurt if you try. That's where I got my TGG.

I never doubted for a second you visit more than one site.
To answer your questions: The first one uses an older encoding library, which means it's less efficiently encoded. The encoding settings for both are also different - though I only know two or three of the parameters mentioned. Also, every transcode lowers the quality, so I would recommend against it.

corocoro No, sir. You misunderstood me again. I'm talking about the Huozhe for re-encoding which is this: http://www.anime-sharing.com/forum/...eeded]-anime-playback-issue-30574/#post160685

alexsdu I already own the movie, but didn't watch. I'm just showing their informations for an efficent answer. And no sir, I won't use a torrent again. I did that mistake before, but not now.

Personally, I'd just watch it with the home theater. By the way, did you try running G.Spot to see if it's a codec problem?

corocoro, no it's not necessary. I even ask it to doom9 users. They didn't returned back. I guess they are not that crispy (decent) like the time of first releasing x264 codecs. However, I re-encoded it by using Adobe Encoder and it's quite good and working now. It took 2 hours of me! I'm thinking that do I have to publish my special encode :D (It will be a Brrip, but who cares :D)

That's good to hear.

But then again, it's hard to solve problems like this when your not looking at the same screen. >.>....

Hi, I hope you are doing well. A few months ago, I asked you about https://vndb.org/v10834 and you said you have the file + all updates/tokuten/dlc, but you were busy cataloging existing data. If you are free now, will you kindly upload this?
