Think Positive .___.

If its one of the biggest then isnt it hard to "stay under the radar"?

I wasn't talking about the site. The owner himself, Kim Dotcom. THAT idiot is the one that drew attention from the feds. The way he was acting (and he was already a criminal), that was due to bring some unwanted attention.

Lets stick to the fact this thread is about dead links now! Ai?????? :D

it's hard to hide, unless you're armed! and besides, the guy didn't even in the US, but still the feds got them...

I totally agree ^_^ no point arguing it out here, for now we can only hope that a reliable host website is found and that the anime etc. gets reuploaded :) I second on positive thinking!!! :3

this is the biggest hit in internet
but i will remain wait for the recover in this forum :D

The issue I have seen with the DDL hosts is simple. They do not want the exact backlash and seizure that MU has experienced. RS experienced a raid a few years back yes, and they are still here. Regardless as to what extent this will be is yet to be seen. The DDL market will suffer hard for this MU fiasco, unfortunately that's just the way it will go. Primary reason I got / kept my FS account was for here, but that I have since cancelled. I have been looking into a replacement, as I do use it for my own purposes, but at the rate websites are dropping, I will wait.

Seeing all the dead links in the threads here, sucks to say the least. But I will be here and choose whichever DDL host gets chosen for use here. Thank you for the hard work, I know how much of a pain it is / can be.

I hope anonymous or someone will do something bad to this stupid government, I don't even have access to anime in my country, nobody sells it on dvd. And so many people put so much work into getting these and uploading so we can enjoy it. You deserve the money for the work.

Whats worse is its not only fileserve but all the other hosts too. Do they want to push us back to torrents or what?

arucarD pretty much summed up my thoughts. Going to put downloading on hold until things stabilize. Hopefully the filehost(s) chosen eventually will be one I can easily get premium for. Good luck to the admins in getting links back in place in the upcoming months.

Anonymous can only do so much. Sure they can send a bunch of DDos attacks against the government, but thats not going to be much. Our problem is we need people to stop the government from doing whatever they want. At this rate its going to snowball and eventually we'll end up with something like China's great firewall. If they do get rid of filesharing, the next thing they'll try to get rid of would be torrents. The only problem is you'll never be able to get rid of torrenting priatebay proved it. At this rate they'll probably even go after usenet users as well. Our problem is no one is fighting the government efficiently enough. An example could be the occupy wallstreet people. They say one thing, they do another. They picket starbucks and the next thing you see they come out of a starbucks. In all honesty its comes down to money. The only time you can efficently get the stupid american government to do something is when they lose money. A perfect example would be when Rosa Parks got arrested. So all the african americans decided to no longer take public transportation so the city was losing money. Eventually what happened was African American no longer were segregated on buses. Though this example is pretty vague what i'm trying say is The american government can't stop virtual pirates, so they idea is to get rid of file-sharing sites. Their goal isn't eliminate our chances to download hentai, its to stop people from downloading movies, music, games, etc. Even if we stop them from passing SOPA, what's stopping them from trying to pass a new one? What we really need is someone in our stupid government to do actually do something about the shit congress is trying to pull. Congress your fucking ancient we need new faces to represent our american government. The faces that actually understand how to use the god damn fucking internet.

coro

Please don't quit. Since I got laid-off, sites like this are my hobby. If I could buy Japanese BDs I would. Torrents are too easy to block. Something will turn up - if there is a need, someone will fulfill it. Having said that, RS is still going. They claim to not be worried at all, although they didn't do anything more or less the FSo or FSe. And the companies that deleted everyone's stuff have basically ruined their business - they will make nothing now, how many people will stay? I find it hard to believe they will just quit. Give it some time, and keep everyone posted.

well if no hosting site anymore, we'll run to torrent! that's for sure

Thats something A/S doesn't want to do. Thats the reason why hongfire died. I really don't think the admins on A/S want to deal with that type of drama.

NO! The only solution I really see to end everything is that america stops being so self-righteous and stops being some kind of high-and-mighty world police. "Land Of The Free" huh... Since when did they had the right to take the world's freedom anyway? The cyber-world if not the whole world at least... =_="

Those who doesn't agree can leave their souls in this donation box beside me ^^

If you haven't noticed the only time the American government does something is when its with money. The only reason we are having this predicament is because the uploaders happen to use the same site as people who want to profit from pirated movies, games and music. This all started when someone discovered that if you upload files and people download them you can make money. So people would download files from a torrent site and them upload them to a filesharing site and hoping someone would download them. You have people who do it to share and people who do it to make money. In the end it comes to the problem of money. We'll just need to wait for the american government to self-destruct.

for new anime yea.. but for those old anime ?? their torrent is as good as dead
and i don't like risking getting my IP address tagged for downloading something and my provider warning me that i can be sued for infringement now don't i? like some ISPs have been doing ...

though my provider already claimed they won't bother about user using p2p .. how much of that shit can you trust?

What internet provider do you have? Usually your isp cares only when your torrenting movies/music/television shows. What they tend to do if you torrent is they'll throttle your internet connection. If your really that worried you can always go to usenet. ISP's at the moment don't give a ratass about usenet. If your torrenting anime/hentai stuff it shouldn't really matter i know a bunch of people who never hide their isp and its been years and their fine.

don't quote me but I think as servers aren't in america. Hongfire died because they couldn't afford to move offshore.

That might be true, but one of the reasons why the no longer offer their filesharing service is because they have a torrent section. According to the FBI torrents mean anything. Anything from movies, music, television to child pornography. You might say that hongfire is only sharing japanese culture, but whats stopping them from sharing movies or music illegally? Torrents are making companies lose money, companies are bitching to the american government. Whats really stopping from blocking every forum that actually has a torrent section?

I have to disagree with that statement.
A couple of months ago, I started re-downloading* Irresponsible Captain Tylor(TV series and OVA)using torrent, and finished DL-ing it on December.
My point is, not all old anime are dead, when it come to torrent. It's just a matter how knowing where to look.

*Coz my DVD copy of the anime lost by my friend.
