[ILLUSION] Honey♥Select (ハニーセレクト) - Translation Discussion

Hello!

I've recently come across what seems to be a bug for me regarding the UI for StudioNEO.

err2.png

Regarding installation order, I followed the list below:

● UITranslation.v0.16.0-HoneySelect

● HoneySelect_Hongfire_Translation_rc

● Machine_Translation_04_29_2017_12_55

● StudioNEO_UITranslation_DLC.5.7.17

Troubleshooting wise, I have only attempted to reinstall using the same installation order on a fresh copy of StudioNEO_64_Data. Any help addressing this bug will be appreciated!

Re: [Mod Discussion] (Illusion) Honey♥Select (ハニーセレクト)

Hello, for all those who have problems with the translation, I leave this link https://pastelink.net/4dpp. I solved the problem.

Thanks a lot for all the work to the translators, and apologies for my English (google translator).

You and dilldoe are my heroes

how do I get subtitles to work with the new party dlc?
Go to directory Illusion/HoneySelect/Plugins/UITranslation/HoneySelect/Text and change the name of file Dialogue_c00.16.txt to Dialogue_c00.17.txt. Change all the other dialogue files names the same way.

Something that has been bothering me about the UITranslation plugin is how long it takes to translate long lists of items in the character maker. Is there any way to speed that up? Plus, is that why the game slowly becomes more stuttered over an extended session, or is that just a fault of the game itself?

Out of curiosity, how long can you play before it starts to stutter? I've yet to see my game stutter or slow down and I spend upwards of a few hours in the character maker at a time. Also, out of pure laziness, I've yet to translate my game too.. Haha.

Oh, it could easily be less than 30 minutes. That's why I'm curious about it, and this is even after just recently getting a GTX-1060. What you said about not even translating your game, yet, just confirms that it must be the UITranslation mod that's causing this.

Seriously, any answers out there?

I've noticed this too. My game runs a LOT smoother prior to translation. I guess that's just the way it is.

Yeah... I run as smooth as butter with the highest settings on a GTX-970. You should have no problem. I think you're right, it sounds like the translation is the cause to me too. I wonder how many other people this happens to? :reallyconfused:

I imagine that if it's happening to saint1228, and myself, and not you, who's not even using translations, then there's no question it has to be happening to everyone else using translations. And loading clothing lists... BY FAR the biggest offender. What's curious is that it doesn't seem to be as big of an issue with StudioNEO, but I could be wrong about that. Just to be clear, though, it is most definitely affecting the main game, as well, and not just the chara maker.

@Tmvaegis Have you tried setting bUseRegEx=False in Plugins/UItranslation/UItranslation.ini ?
That seems to shorten up the loading times but dunno what other effects it might cause...

What happens to me, more than stuttering, is that load times gets longer the more you play. Is especially noticeable if you edit a lot of characters in the same room.

Holy shit, that was a HUGE improvement in loading time! Thanks, Stampar! I remember reading about all that back in the SBPR days, but I forgot all about it.
I'll have to see how it goes for extended periods, but it's a start!

That being said, what is the purpose of having it set to True, anyway?

@BastianT - I attribute that to the same thing, actually, since I was also suffering from the issue you mentioned. You should also try what Stampar mentioned and see how that goes for you.

Guys, can I ask dialogue, audio and all .txt files for translating HS Party especially for the new personality? It's okay if not yet fully translated. I prefer still in japanese .txt (i will help to translate it) ^^

I too would love to get the text files for the new personalities, and do a bit of translating, but I can't find them when I dig through the game files with SB3UGS. I know they are there somewhere, I just haven't found them yet. If anyone knows how to get them out please post the steps, or at least where they are located.

Would be nice if someone translates male voices too. Or just do some quick translated here, so I can understand a meaning of them a bit :D

So I've finally managed to unearth all the voice lines for the girls. Dialogue, H-scenes, two girls, two guys, new girls, new lines for the old girls, all of it. Gonna take a while to get it all out of SB3UG and into a useable format even before we can start with translating any of it. But the good news is there's something to work with. Can't make any guarantees as to a time frame, literally thousands of lines are going to need to be moved around, formatted, and translated. Been fairly busy with IRL stuff lately too, but I'm gonna work on getting the new stuff out of the game first then post the raw Japanese text in case anyone wants to help get that stuff translated, if not that's cool, just gonna take a bit of work to get it all in English.

*Edit* Wait a min... there's line for male character too? never knew that.....

They are below new female voice in the neo studio if you have battle arena installed.

I have translated about 90% of battle area menu. still going over the whole game to catch any missed ones.

I don't think I gonna translate all the battle related specs (I think it's different depending on combo of outfits & weapons, which is too much for me to handle)

I do have 2 questions on translation.

カットイン & 技ビジュアル

google have them as Cut-in & Technical, these are menu settings for their Close up/Finishing move/remark & attack moves / fight style configuration.

I currently have it as Cutscene & Technique, close enough?

Seems legit to me, first one you can setup the "catchphrase" before the technique and on the second you can create the technique.
The whole seems to be like something you can see in a Super Robot Taisen game when you engage fight.

it's like the character's intro (battle cry?) in a fighting game. I'm just not sure what the correct term/translation is since the japanese one is 'cut-in', like cutting in on a conversation? (kanye v. taylor swift, 'imma gonna let you finish..')

Having absolutely no context to go by - I don't use studio and haven't done the upgrade from 1.11 yet....

From WWWJDIC:
カットイン (kattoin) (exp) cut-in

カッと (katto): カッと(P); かっと (adv,vs) (1) (on-mim) flaring up; burning hotly; suddenly becoming bright; (2) (on-mim) flying into a rage; losing one's cool; (3) (on-mim) opening suddenly and widely (e.g. eyes, mouth); (4) (on-mim) (arch) acting resolutely; (P)

イン (in): (n) (1) in; (2) inn; (P); ED; Name(s): ; (u) Ying; Inn

It sounds like "battle cry" could be correct, depending on what the button does. (Insert Battle Cry, Berzerk(er)?) Oddly enough, Microsoft's translator shows "in" as "online".

技 (waza): 技(P); 伎(iK) 【わざ(P); ぎ】 (n) technique; art; skill; (P); ED Name(s): 【あや】 (f) Aya

ビジュアル (bijuaru): (adj-na,n,vs) visual; visualization; visualisation; (P); ED

waza and bijuaru both reverse translate correctly, as technique and visual.
