I see quite a few people still using (and worse still, paying for) a untrustworthy repack, so thought I'd give it a spin myself...

If you have trouble starting the game, run 'Koikatsu Registry Fixer.bat' and start the game once through the launcher (initsettings.exe/initsettings_english.exe)

This is the readme for the pack, detailing the contents:​

This pack is made with a up2date base game as of 11.01.2019, along with the components listed in credits, all up2date as of the release date of this pack. Some extras have been included, but are either easily removable or are sorted into folders marked [OPTIONAL]. Enjoy!

To add shortcuts to your desktop of the launcher and the most important folders for the game, feel free to run '[BR] Create Desktop Icons.bat'.

I don't recommend just extracting this over another repack, due to potential conflicts. Please extract this to its own folder and move over your chara, cap, studio and save folders.

There has been no modification done to the vanilla game files, nor included any self-promoting graphics. Just the fully upgraded base game with what mods I see as essential, and a few utilities for good measure and some BGs I like. I've included the card for the girl in the poster in case anyone wants it, some illusion made scenes from the Japanese Illusion scene downloading site and a folder of optional clothing coordinates from the discord as a few bonuses for those interested. They're all clearly marked so you can safely delete these if you want.

There are two download options, Full for newcomers, Update for people that already have my R2.1 pack (So they don't have to download all of it over again). If you experience ANY problem after using the update pack, please use the full pack before reporting any problems.

Information: Started collecting updates for mods and such for a update to this repack, so new version imminent. Unknown ETA, might be later today, or it could take a few days depending on if testing reveals any problems.

Share this pack as you want, re-host it or whatever.. I barely did anything, I just bundled other peoples work, so no need to credit me or anything. All credit goes to the modders actually making this possible

I've gotten some questions about future repacks in a thread for the previous release. I have been working on another game during almost all my offtime for the past week, testing every single mod and making sure everything works as intended to the best of my ability, and I'm still not done, so.. Not the final banner image, but a little teaser ;)​

- Why would I bother making this pack and not taking payment for downloading it?
Well, this is very much just my own backup that I routinely apply when I feel like starting fresh for whatever reason. It weren't that difficult to create in the slightest, so wouldn't cause me much bother in any case and I didn't create anything worthwhile. Why would I take pay for that? I don't own this game, nor the mods used... What little I've done is not in any way worthy of getting a payday on the backs of the creators and the modders putting in a lot of effort to make this game, and by extension this repack, great!

- Do I need to get the base game separately?
No, you don't. This pack includes the base game, the personality expansion and the after-school expansion, as well as the latest update available at the time of writing. Just download, extract and play. If there's any problems, just run the 'Koikatsu Registry Fixer.bat' file, and it should get you sorted.

- Never heard about 'screwthisnoise' before! What's your angle!?
Yes, you shouldn't have... it's not my main user. I do recognise that repacks is a necessary evil, but aren't really so hype about the piracy aspect, so sparing my main user from getting mixed up in this mess. My justification for doing this, even though I don't love the idea of pirating the game is as such:
A lot of people are buying the repack from another repacker that is operating like a douche. Sending people on ad-mazes to get the free version, or requiring upfront payment for easy access to the download link. He's also changing base game assets for no other reason than self-promotion (removing illusions logo and inserting his own butt-ugly screen). Moreover, his repacks is known to create problems, and there's still lingering suspicions that his pack is malicious. To counter this, I'm simply giving him the beautiful capitalist invention: competition. A clean pack where the only modded files are files required for modding.

A repack should make it easier for someone to get into the game, not harder!

Nope, not gonna happen. I'm using an alt here to make sure such a thing won't happen. I do not accept monitary compensation for something I've not made. If I pick up modding, I may make a patreon, but until I've made something of value, I won't accept a cent. And I won't ever accept payment for a repack.

- You missed this super awesome mod! You should include it!
Feel free to reply to my threads on HongFire and Anime-Sharing and I'll look into it for future inclusion.

- How do you plan to do it with future releases?
I won't repack the whole pack with every release, just release hotfix releases in the same threads for a while... occasionally I'll repack the whole thing, as to keep things neat and minimise the steps needed for new users... or when something that may introduce problems if just added above the old pack are released. Running a pack without the latest 'hotfix' won't take away much, the current full release will always have the latest official stuff at the time of release, so only smaller functionality updates in mods and such that're released as hotfixes.

Oh, and if you have any troubles whatsoever with the pack, feel free to reply here and I'll look into it as soon as I'm able ;)

I don't have VR, so it's kinda hard to guarantee it... but the newest update did have some updates to the VR thing, so I hope so...
I'm suspecting that there may be a mod that doesn't play nice with VR though... as not many modders have VR equipment either, so they're not usually tested to run with VR. If that's the case it may be hard for me to do anything about it :(

A nice fella with VR tested it and reported back to me, seems VR is working fine in R3, but there might be a button here and there that're untranslated though still.

He tested with a HTC... I'd love to help further, but it's hard for me as I don't have VR equipment... Maybe try dropping by the discord and asking in the help channel if anyone knows what's up?

The official VR component from Illusion is applied, same with the latest update to said component. I don't know why you're experiencing problems with the oculus. I can send you the official VR update so that you can try to reapply it and have a look if that helps the situation if you wish though?

There may be a conflict with some mod though that makes it tricky... you could try to move the winhttp.dll away from the root folder in order to test it with most mods (and translation) disabled and see if that allows you to start it to confirm if the mods are the cause?

how long did you let it stay at the loading, and what are your specs btw?

it downgrades the base game version? That... doesn't sound good... 5.0 is the paid DLC version if I remember correctly... guess I'll try to apply that and then the 5.1 update... mind testing if I give you a little pack with with those files tomorrow?
