Ugh, Ichika now a certified eroge protagonist! Man I should have play dumb a little more but girls have special power at short range that could melt my heart easily, so I couldn't hold off for too long. 5 months was the longest span I finally fail to someone (Yup, I was under constant arm 'accident' locking, bentou thing, accident hugs, and a kiss... duh she kissed me O-o)

Anyway This is this series is beyond EPIC! IS redefined the entire mecha series. This is the what mecha anime should be in the first place!

On another hand though, Ichika being the only boy that could control an IS could make him a superior fighter since, well we all knows boys are generally have much more strength & stamina than girls at any time, a little bit nerfing would be agile but it seems speed is his biggest asset, so he's pretty much OP without weakness LOL

And btw: All heroines are Tsundere, heavily!

**Fineprints: I've done that 'legendary ohime-sama dakou' before, twice, even though she only weight ~45kg, it's still very heavy and it's not exactly pleasant as in anime or eroge...

Cecilia's character sure has underwent a complete 180 when it comes to Ichika. While as much was certainly to be expected (and foreshadowed), i still find the degree of change to be a case of too fast, too soon. Ah well ... i guess with the amount of heroines they have to introduce (and each new introduction siphoning away the screentime of each) they don't have much time for character development if they intend to have a plot along with it.

Rin left a quite good impression on me - colorful, interactive and while she does seem to have a bit of a wild streak. Was quite amusing seeing her instantly want a room switch with Houki - girl knows what she wants Seems to have some issues with her father though ? Well, we will find out soon enough i guess.

I am a bit worried about the upcoming fight though - Ichika's performance with IS this episode was quite inconsistent with what we saw last week (dodging Cecilia's shots and slicing up her remote weapons compared to failing at basic maneuvering this time), so i only hope it doesn't turn in to a case where we are supposed to believe Ichika is a newbie at piloting (by showing us him failing at practice lessons), but suddenly developing abilities to do well against opponents he has no business doing well against. For all intents and purposes fighting against a melee opponent should be quite hellish if you are inept at controlling the basic movement of your machine, so lets see how that goes. If the partial materialization is any indication, Rin should know her way around the IS quite well.

Overall ...a good episode i guess. I quite liked Rin, those bare shoulders mmmm.

Sorry for coming late to this thread, just heard a lot about this anime so just thought that i should see it too to see whats the fuss about anyway

show is great, with a bit of laughs and nice fast moving action with fair amount of sword play as well... but sometimes cant remember actually i think it was ep 4 where it was filled with filler shit got bored at that time..

all in all i enjoyed it watched all 5 episodes one after the other btw chics shown in this series are nice! :P especially their hair style lol

Great episode and my favourite so far. The battle between Rin and Ichika was quite good though a bit short and seemed pretty uneven. (Ichkia only having a sword while Rin having close and long ranged weapons)

Definitely liked the progression of events with the arrival of the drone IS which looks like it'll make the story a bit more serious with an actual threat. I was getting worried that the whole series would be just a bunch of students doing battles as sport. But now with an actual threat with life and death consequences while fighting, it'll certainly make things more interesting and less light hearted.

Really liked the animation of this episode and it was pretty top notch and in line with the other episodes. I particularly liked the holographic screens and how they are presented and how well they are integrated into the animation. Example, when Ichika is moving and they perfectly are in sync and keeps the correct angle in his heads up display.
