You know, after learning russian, then ukrainian, then english, then japanese, and I learned most of them by myself, I found out the trick to learning languages... You don't need to learn one language on the basis of another. You should learn it just as you learned your first one. Don't compare them. Don't chain them together. That will only make learning more difficult...

Isn't that cool? ;p You have a talking mango tree xD

yeah that's what I figured. I'm currently learning Japanese like a child, like familiarizing characters and repeatedly writing them down.

I want a talking cherry blossom tree. XD

Well, actually I don't know how to write characters myself... I just can recognize them and read them, but if you ask me to write them...

I only plan start learning how to write them later. For now, I decided to just learn to understand them...

writing sorta helps with remember though. sometimes i write them in the air just for fun while walking or commuting

Well, I was trying to remember and try writing them for fun while I'm bored during lessons in college, but even though I can recognize and read them, I just can't get myself to write them at those times >_<

probably cause it's easier to recognize them than remember them? XD

Yeah. Need to buy myself a notebook then practice writing in it...

I mean after learning how to read kana, next is to translate what the words mean. probably practice singing along to OPs though. XD

Well, for starters, I think you should change your system locale to japanese and add japanese to your writing languages so you can write in 日本語 anytime you want, then write the words you need through your keyboard in romanji and press space to change them in kanji ;p Then you can input them in google translate.

I already did that as a requirement for VNs. XD now to configure the keyboard

Hmm... In recently noticed the rows under the hirigana chart xD Mehs well now i just need to remember that...

hmmm there are lot of kanji with same spelling.... i wonder why?

different reads depending where you're from? there's a Chinese and Japanese reading for the same Kanji

Well, there are still words in english and other languages that have almost the same spelling but means different things...
