Yes, there are some.... They were punches to the head, the body and the lower body.. Each has different (funny) names....
I often uses punches only to deliver a quick strike... But I do kicks for finishing....

Aren't Judo focused on kicks? I got a friend with a blue belt around the neighborhood... Often go sparing with him, all that he uses was kicks and kicks...

Punches to the head are forbidden in matches though...
Not quite... I saw a match between 2 black bet holder and they uses punches to the head... Or a chop...
But I'm not sure about that...

Judo is about throws, pins, chokes (13+), and arm bars (black belts)~ No kicks or punches (judo = gentle way)

Wait.... Hmn... But don't you uses a kick on the leg to make your opponent unbalanced then throws him?

Has any one here ever entered a national match (in his/her branch of martial arts ) in his/her country?
or,
Has any one ever demonstrated his/her skills in martial arts in a real fights? I mean for self-protection...

Hmm... I should learn Judo one day. Expand my abilities.
Hey, Hey, Why don't try Kendo once you have mastered Taekwondo..?

SainTPrimE Was the match between the two black belt holders official?

Also, I wouldn't call it a kick because you aren't applying force to the opponent, it's more of a sweep than a kick.

Lol i went and tried nationals xD Died fast~

Yes those leg sweeps fall in the category of throws :3

But its elimination so everyone gets two round lol~ yeps first time anyhow...
I was assistant instructor for a bit~

So you were dead in the first match... For a first time it's good that you tried already...
Even I didn't survive the 3rd match in my first nats....

You call your Taekwondo instructor 'Sensei'? o -o

I call every one that teach something "Sensei".... I know its wrong since Taekwondo came from Korea.... He don't mind tough be called like that by me, but if others called him like that he corrected them..... (Maybe I just can't be saved any more....)
And about that thing... About "Can a red belt holder teach those that was under his ranks?"

Don't have much experience. Stopped after getting my yellow belt in karate. Lol.

Better than two sets of matches, Samkaka.

renano has a yellow belt in Karate? We must all have experience in martial arts.

Two round as in two matches xD

That's good since experience was the goal there...

Oh.. Ohime-sama was a yellow belt in karate?

I guess I'll go off for a while... Bye all.. See ya later....
