Talk to your cousin as much as you can while you have the time as well as his parents depending on how close you are with each other. Also if he happens to survive, he will remember that you were there for him, that is what counts.
I'd choose not to let out any tears when you see them. Though it shows that you worry about them, it also shows how severe his problem is. Save your tears for the aftermath whether if its for the best or the worst. It may be hard to hold it all in, but you'll have to your best for his sake. The last time I went to a funeral it was also someone who had cancer as well.
