Oh, thank you for the heads up, renano!

Samy is one of the members I have the utmost respect for! He's everywhere and always has something funny and/or intelligent to say... Not to mention that incredible post count... Hahah~
Wish you an excellent trip, my friend! :)

By the way, spamming about a spammer... Would this be metaspamming? xD

I'll take: Other possibilities....

Have a good trip Sammy...wherever you're going.

Actually alex, it's

Ngor hai Sam
(I am sam)

or

Ngor giu Sam
(I'm called Sam)

And I pronounce it as Ngor oi lei.
Guess its different else where.
Not really, I think yours is the correct one. Like I said, I learned Cantonese from hearing while watching those HK shows & movies when I was a kid.
Though I must admit, it's the first time that I learn about ngor giu Sam for introduction. Or probably I didn't notice it all these time.
Beside ngor oi lei(which is too direct, for pick up line), my favourite is ngor chong yee nei or ngor ho chung yee nei(when you're really like her or desperate).

What? alex is Chinese?
Nope, but I picked up a few Cantonese phrases from watching HK movies and TV shows when I was a kid. As a kid, your HDD brains still have lots of free space to learn things fast.
Our local national TV station play HK drama series everyday in the evening, and HK movies at certain night of the week and on Sunday evening.

I'll take: Other possibilities....
Me too. Now that Sam's gone (temporarily), who am I gonna cling next?:evillaugh:

You have now peaked my interest alexsdu to a certain extent. :evillaugh:

The reason why it's possible to say Ngor giu is because some people also ask
'Lei giu mu(t) (pronounced with silent t) meng?' which translates to 'What (name) do I call you?'
It might not make sense in English literacy but it makes perfect sense when spoken in Cantonese =]

Anyways, I shall be off. Good day!

And of course, Alex strikes once again with his hammer of distortion.

Sam... spamming about a spammer~

Bye-bye AG~

And so comes a new era (or old era who were busy) of spammers... Ready to overthrow the king.

Maybe so. Though I am escalating up the top posters chart with flying colors :3

You are escalating...

I find it easier to post if I enjoy the chat.

It seems Sam was here sometime ago for about 20 minutes. Internet at the airport. xD

You liked my post, that must mean that you enjoy the chat :3

That must mean that Samkaka has some form of communication device on him. He may have internet access, darn.

And you received another 'like'...~ ^^

He kept mentioning 'if' he had internet access. He'll be staying at his uncle's.

Most of the time will be spent walking around and eating.

He might take pictures... or not.

Samkaka mentions the same thing every time in multiple threads. 'Anyhow time to go eat dinner~' Just go eat dinner, you don't have to post about it multiple times.

Anyways, that's kind of ironic. Walking around then eating then walking around to burn those calories then eating again. So on and so forth.

Pictures would be nice for the amount of typing or writing he's going to do. He still has to tell us every detail about his trip.

He mentions how his parents have a certain place they want to visit, but he doesn't know where.

I would like to see the scenery of the boats or food markets.

The food market is actually really cool during the night. Lots of lights and everything. Cooking everywhere, oh my gosh. -drools-

^

I approve of your message...

Sounds like a memorable and enjoyable place.

I haven't traveled outside of the US.

I wouldn't mind traveling...

My current obligation is to take care of my mother.

She's strong on the outside, but she's ill in the inside. (diabetes, seizures... suffered from a stroke, but she can walk a bit now)

That's one of my main reasons for not eating anything sweet. I'm trying to make tasty, but healthy foods.

Hmm... What type of diabetes does your mother have, if you don't mind me asking? And diabetes is not caused from eating too much sugar.

Anyways, that's actually really kind of you to take care of your mother. You say she's strong on the outside, but ill in the inside. Does she have a strong mental as well?

My mother has Type-2 diabetes.

Because of the insulin resistance, high levels of sugar build up in the blood.

Therefore, it's best to manage her blood sugar.

She's mostly ill physically and emotionally.

There was a moment in which she fell on the floor and refused to get up, looking almost like a drunk. She kept crying and screaming everywhere. I was pretty frightened back then.

Her depression began after I was born. The depression faded around 5-6 years ago. Mostly because of my father...

Ah, Type-2, ey? I don't know anyone who has diabetes, but I'm sort of an expert on the topic.

That is pretty frightening seeing your mother in that state. She probably didn't want you to see that.

Do you know what caused her depression?

I'm really sad to hear about your mother's condition, renano... :(
I know how it is to have such problems in your family... I really do. And I sincerely wish your mother happiness despite being in such condition.

Also, while sugar do not directly cause diabetes, its contributions are strong not only for this disease, but for many others, like hypertension, the "metabolic syndrome" (which increases chances of developing diabetes) and even memory problems.

The cause was mostly because of my father. He's a 'playboy'. My father partied almost every night and had many contacts with women. He wasn't there during my birth.

Another reason was because no one on my father's side accepted my mother as my father's wife. While everyone on my father's side immigrated to the US, not one person from my mother's side immigrated. She was very lonely.

The third reason was because after she married my father, the women who were still in love with him, threatened my mother to leave.

That's so sad... I'm tearing up right now.

I wish your mother to have the best moments of her life in the nearby future. You were probably one of the best moments of her life as well. I highly guarantee it, mademoiselle.

I apologize that I couldn't say anything more. My mind cannot focus on more than two things.

That's really unfortunate... I can't find words to tell how I'm feeling...

You are really a wonderful daughter for supporting your mother like that, and I hope your father has the same degree of concern about this.
