Back from farming FGO event to death, was spending most of the month since end of event being busy and casually cruising through monthlies and EOs. 5-5 was very smooth this time perhaps to compensate for getting awful luck throughout Summer event. That or carriers are hitting harder on just 2 veteran'd planes, not sure.

Good thing I am not playing deremasu, would be brutal to go from boats to fgo to deremasu event with almost no break inbetween.

Just a heads up to anyone here wanting to unlock every CG and marriage scenes in KC. You can use a Kancolle Viewer with the latest version of Kancolle Cacher. Your KancolleDex will have everything up to date unlock. One of the few tricks on how someone actually manage to marry their recently acquire event girl in a short span of time.

If I read correctly, it gives your bombers a damage boost during air battle phase. The plane over the enemy formation sign indicates contact.

And I was just joking about the missing red circle on Kaga's deck, indicating a Kai 2. :D

As in the contact mechanic for preempt airstrike damage boost that came with the artillery spotting system update. Flying boat and type2 recon plane have a high chance of proccing it.

The ascension mat is how they are gating players at the moment to buy time for chapter 3 release so it is really as hard as they want to make it. Nerofest just threw out a ton of mats at us though so if you managed to grab all that you should be ok on most counts for a little while, but even then a lot of stuff are still super terror to farm for. Also lol if you got all that without IAP you have some pretty damned good luck.

Of what you have I'd focus on Vlad for pure utility reasons. Cat is ok if you managed to collect the homunculus babies from this event to get past gating, but if not then you'll be stuck with her level capped at where her stats plateau without any hope of getting past that except for the mercy of the devs. Vlad at least manages to get to a good place stats with before being gated should you miss the pages (even if you kill yourself make sure to grab as much of mats as you can from exchange and quest reward), but being a 5star with better stats and skills all around.

All that the type2 does is increase contact chance after all, if we discount stats. So it is a pretty niche use when you are attempting to maximize air strike damage. Outside of farming and grinding I can't say it is used particularly often.

The luck is still pretty good considering shit servant gacha rates. Tomorrow's event is Orion, probably tying into moonviewing and mid autumn festivals. They managed to actually got Nasu to write short stories for it like they should've been trying to the last couple of events, so we'll see. Collection still makes me sad though.

Hard to say how p2w FGO is but there is definitely an advantage, if you have been playing from the start then the amount of incentives they threw out to keep people playing an incomplete product is pretty significant so one can get by really well even without paying. For those that missed the campaign though it can get more annoying without heavy rerolling or people that can carry you through. They nerfed the difficulty on some of the content that's probably designed to gate players so atm the question is purely the pace of their content release.

It isn't too hard to get FGO working though, have you tried qooapp? I personally just used a jp google acc in combination with apkdownloader to grab the apk directly from the play store.

From what I can read apparently people seems to find decent success with 3 star cards (in fact some of them are really good apparently), so you can do well without the need to IAP. Also I don't have any mobile device that can run it (my SH-06D NERV is quite old and my iPod Touch is only 5th Gen....) so I run it on the computer via BlueStacks App.
