If Wake Island from episode 3 loses Kisaragi, then Operation MI (aka Battle of Midway) will actually lose a lot, namely Akagi, Kaga, Souryuu and Hiryuu. It is probably one of the most devastating blow to the IJN in WWII, when they've pretty much lost their Kidou Butai all in one go. (Pretty sure they lost an amazing Admiral during that time as well, I think it was Tamon Yamaguchi who choose to went down with Hiryuu).

Though I honestly hope the presence of Fubuki will change the whole thing, because Fubuki wasn't originally part of the fleet during Operation MI, so with her being here this time might indicate a clear change in history, hopefully towards the good side.

Technically they've already changed history with the way they pretend Shouhou doesn't exist after following it up to that point. I doubt they have the balls to actually kill any more.

After the new system being implemented, having ringed ships doesn't seems like it would provide more advantages anymore. I saw a lot of Admires sortieing like ringed combined fleet and got massive trolled hard in E5 Hard Mode, yet I was able to do it a fleet avg level of around 60-70 (dragged down by the level 35 Katori Flag) so that's why I think it is more beneficial to have more ships than to have more ringed ships.

Considering it is her captain and he went down with her, I suppose it is very fitting that Hiryuu is very fond of him.

I think best map to level DD is actually 4-3, the DD is able to get MVP quite easily.

To be fair, because of her overall great stats and high luck, its gonna make her one of the strongest DD in the whole game xD So I can see why they made her Level 70 remodel.

Frankly, other than balance purposes, the kai2 levels are fairly spread out. Haruna randomly has a higher one than the rest of Kongous, possibly to reflect for the historical long upgrade process or just a simple designation of being the last one around. For ships that got kai2 due to combat records, poi, ayanami and hiryuu all have pretty different levels, etc. I don't really see any reason to expect any kind of consistency in terms of levels required at all.

It's not like you need 140 ships. I use at most 40 ships, why do you need all those destroyers

If we have another large scale 3sided event ever we are looking at 50+ ships required, and that's not counting your dd and sub expedition squad (Summer 14 was around 6 fleets of things minimum, reasonably speaking 40+ ships in rotation with only one combined fleet side). 100 fills up pretty fast if you think of it that way. In terms of impact, having more ships definitely beats out rings for the same price.

Well, I don't wish anyone remodels the same ships for the equipments. I want to bring up a favorite ship freely. It's desirable for the necessary equipments to be available by the method that is different from the remodeling.
Because Maya has the special equipment, I understand that her remodeling level is high. But the person liking Maya regardless of the equipment might not be pleased with it. My Hatsushimo is the same, too. I want to bring up Wakaba, but don't want them to announce the remodeling if it's such situation.

My Maya is 96, because I've guessed for over a year that Maya and Choukai will get kai2s based on history so I kept using them. Why should new players have access to easy kai2s just because a ship is certain weight class? At that, why even have level differentiation at all? You might as well as make them all kai2-able at any level given that logic. Also, as I have mentioned before, DD levels required have a pretty wide gap too simply due to flavor reasons. I'd much rather little interesting factors like that then an oversimplified system basing it off class.

You are free to level whatever you want, people have taken their 150 shitty dd to the hardest of areas and beaten them. The game isn't so harsh that you can't do that.

About the no farm part, I think you are ignoring what quite a lot of the early players have left to do. By that I mean nothing. They can't keep throwing out collection events like mochi, nor can they pump out content too fast without hacking away at the game's lifespan. In the end, to keep some players actually playing a game, some form of grind content like LSC/upgrade/equip farm is necessary.

I'd agree with equipment acquisition method except there is already Akashi upgrade, and any further take on that concept is just going to be large equipment construction.
