Latest Thought~

Another "file name too long for system"...how on earth did the uploaders pack ridiculously long stuff anyway?

Well, it's when unRAR-ing that this happens...find out that I have D:\XXXX...\XXXX...\XXXX....\XXXX...\XXXX...\XXX...\XXX...\XXX..., etc, and I that's where I go, "how'd they even get their system to pack that up in the first place". :hypnotized:

All automatically handled by JD, so I don't usually find out until it's time to move it off the PC.

Usually it helps if you shorten the name of the files and extract the donloaded file to the root (manually)....

In Regedit browse to this folder
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem

and set the following value to 0
NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation

see here why this

Thanks for your suggestion, though I'm just more annoyed during the rare times this happens as I have to hope it doesn't break anything while I fix it. :sigh:

Really should be sleeping now~~~
