Let's Create a VN!!!

Actually we may be able to use that longing to return to the dream world at the start ;p All pretty and fanciful compared to the normal world~

woah! Fantasy worlds with dragons! and bombs and CSI! .... (wait scratch the last ones)
umm... a virtual novel... humm... urrm... err...
*cough*
seems like you already have settled with a parallel world so what is it too ad? :goodtea:

Too ad?

Hmm just a parallel world where dreams were somewhat more than dreams ;p Somewhat of a world of its own~

And how the story should progress? heroines? heroes? villians? common? romance? Armageddon <- what

I envy you people with your artistic skills. T.T All I have is imagination, it's great, until I try to draw it, then its more like crap.

On topic, Ushio is attempting to make the story complete original by not referencing anything from pop culture or mythology. By what I read, even theories and philosophies... which in my point of view is a mistake as it makes the story somewhat lacking cohesion or rather, a foreseeable shape.

Hmm she isnt trying to cut out everything actually... i dont particularly agree with all the focus on making it original since thats just... difficult... maybe even impossible... everything builds upon the past~ Even if you want to be original... its all in the way that you present the ideas... it will draw upon something or another in the end...

being original doesn't necessarily mean building from scratch. That's what I believe anyway. It really wouldn't hurt to utilize something she believes in philosophically, to make a foundation if you will. then build up something new from there.

Hmm shes trying to teach morals through the story? :goodtea: Im basically fine with that although i feel like saying it obviously might not be to reader's liking...

honestly, they really might not. I mean who wants a lecture? its best if the reader realizes the moral through the end with the author only hinting at it through the story. Its like watching good anime, the morals/philosophies don't become apparent until you delved deep into the story

Kasumi; I like the 2nd~ it would be used for social things. (ex: being with friends, a movie, etc?) People will sometimes wear things like that just to feel good about themselves~
not really sure about the other 2 x-x. The first seems more like someone alot older, and the other doesn't quite fit the overall character. hmmmm the 2nd might need a couple accessories?

To clarify for the (# of times), we're trying to be as original as possible. By doing things people won't really expect. (ex: deeper, more details, ummm idk XD). The guy would probably carry the explain/extended examples, while the girl would carry the visual/hidden examples. Trying to overcrowd the story with too many messages would make it watered down, or longer than needed. (soo that would include cliche/expected things? or not showing enough story between them, showing connections, etc?)
Even while we're developing the dialog, we may have to continue working at the plot and scenes. (plenty of refining~)

I'm quite certain people won't like some parts of the story, which are the vary things most visual novels avoid. The things built around that will add to the meaning of it still~ Neither side of the story will be overlooked, soo everything is going to be given our best effort :P

soooooo one thing about clothes~ can there be something good for rain? :3

Hmm yes~ Thats sort of the effect im trying to aim for~ Unoriginal as it may be ;p At least the content will be original~

Well even with cliche ideas... we could probably manipulate it so it doesnt seem as cliche~

I get the original part, but the story is still lacking something. When one seeks to be original, there is a tendency for one to loose track of creating something great just so one can create something completely original. I'm just saying that you shouldn't go overboard with the originality, at times, originality can become too fluid.

there shouldn't be a lot of messages. One or two is enough.

what do mean by this?
The guy would probably carry the explain/extended examples, while the girl would carry the visual/hidden examples.
from that I would assume that the guy will be the one to interpret the dreams?

Hmm well i had sort of thought of maybe having the guy's half of the story be revealed later on and using that to explain stuff?
