I'm sorry I actually read it.
Saying that most of the world still thinks of Germans as nazis is the same as as me saying that most of the world still thinks of Croatians as communists.

Yeah sure. You just think that's funny to say someone is a Nazi. Did you live 70-80 years ago? I wish you would. I heard everything from my grandma about these days. She lost 4 brothers in the world war II. That is not funny and be careful how you talk with others which are related to such things.

I'm out here.

So I could give you a perfect example. Our national sport football!

Look at the team from 1996, 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014. There you can see that we're getting multi cultural and that is very good in my opinion. Different people working in a team and they're success. That's cool! Now look at our European cup winners from the youth team from Germany. Most of them got some non-German name but the most of them were born in Germany and are Germans, most of them can speak German perfectly like me. They are Germans! It doesn't matter what their name is.

The problem is: It's rare that people are so common with their country and sometimes you feel like an immigrant when you go to town (e.g. here it's like you're going to little Istanbul) I have no problem with it, but I'm feeling uncomfortable in the late evening. Look at the newspaper: when there was a knife fight or robbery, 9 out of 10 were immigrants. These immigrants are in front of the judge and can't tell where they were born because they can't understand German. But hey, it's no problem. Germany has so much money, everyone comes here, stays 12 months and get enough to live and then they're doing bullshit. It's sad but true. Some of the immigrants are from Africa because political issues and it's okay if they're not so common with this country but they try hard to lean because they see how good Germany is.

It's complicated because we Germans are still Nazis for the most outside of Germany and that's why so many immigrants come here and work (well, not all do working, some coming here, get 5 children and get more money than me when I work as a baker, no joke) and well, it's a very long story.

All in all I'm either against or for this situation as long as I can live as good as I do now. I got fresh water, energy, communication and more food than we in Germany can eat. It's luxury and if some people want to have a better life than in their country, please come here. But when I go in another country to live better, I try to integrate and not to stay here because you have nothing to do and you can live better than in their own country.

Don't get me wrong guys, sorry that it was so long, but it's more like just "Germany has immigrants". It's f*cking complicated with the politics, almost because of the Austrian bastard from 70-80 years ago. We're very "open" (related to the borders) for immigrants, especially for the really poor people whose only hope Germany is but many do abuse our democracy and that's why Germany still has a notable percentage of fascists and racists.

Yeah. Over here many locals are complaining the the government is letting in too many foreigners to take up white collar jobs (no one seems to complain about foreigners taking up blue collar jobs) but to me it kinda just means that we just aren't good enough to compete with such foreigners. I mean, today it's all about international competition so if you don't work as hard as someone else you shouldn't deserve a job just because you're a local and he's a foreigner.

I can understand people from overseas who come in for work and then decide to leave, for whatever reasons (family, or maybe life here isn't suited) but while here at least bother to integrate and mix in with the local people. Don't come in, build a wall between you and the locals and end up diluting the local culture. Or even worse, don't come in and try to "better" things by overshadowing local culture with your native culture. Bringing in a new foreign culture for locals to experience is a great thing, but not at the expense of local culture. ("You" does not refer to you by any chance. It refers to a hypothetical person in front of me that I am scolding. Which isn't you.)

Bleh... WWII. I say we move on as a world. Tragic mistakes were made but times have changed and nothing good is ever going to come out of confrontation. One can choose not to forget, but do forgive. People shouldn't hold on to grudges from that period

These Nazi jokes always come bad. People should stop. And I'm really sorry that the conversation made such a turn, that was not my intention. So let's have tea and more more Nazi jokes, okay? It's the same with germans, croatians and russians. No one wants be called nazi or communist.

and now tea!
:goodtea:

Hmm I don't think people equate Germans as nazis that much where I am, but there are still all the jokes. I think it is because there are quite a lot of German communities where I am. My Grandmother's family had to escape from the war when she was a girl. Lots of close calls. Both my Grandmothers are German, actually.

I get jokingly called a nazi every now and then because of how I look (blonde hair blue eyes yo), but it is never malicious/racist. I also get called "Hitler's poster boy". I also get called a murderer (this one is not related to the others: I start to keep a kill count when killing flies in the kitchen ^^;;;; ). They aren't being mean; I personally don't mind at all.

I guess in Canada, at least where I am, I don't hear that much about discrimination happening, because there are lots of people from everywhere living here. :)

and that is why you should keep things you say in Spam section more carefree. There are general discussion section for a more serious talk, its there for a purpose. Either way, better keep the racial slur/jokes out before people get too sensitive. Thanks, and I do not wish to see jokes that's way too sensitive or else Mods will have to come in and spank people ¬_¬

King just wants an excuse to spank people. (-_-)

/me spams the spam section.

I chose to interpret it wrong, because it was amusing to me. :goodtea:

Pichu is so old. :/

KingArturia;

I'm sorry Mr.KingArturia. Excuse me for that. Wasn't my intention to get a serious discussion. Just tried to tell some interested people how it is to live as a German in Germany.
