i didn't look into it enough :/ i knew she'd leave, but i didn't know the sequence of events started as a side op

If you finish 41 and she's at 100 relation then she'll leave, but you can equip the butterfly emblem and it locks her at 80, she wont leave but you can't get 100% unless you finish her story...

well i dunno. i just know that after one of the missions, a side op became available, i did it, and it started the last sequence of missions and i was sad

That's because you did 41 with 100 relationship with her, if she wasn't at 100 the side op would have stayed locked until you hit 100. If your emblem has the butterfly you can never max the relationship so the chain will never unlock until you change your emblem.

honestly, quiet leaving wasn't even the saddest part of the game. disappointing, but not the saddest part. it's the second saddest part. the saddest one is mission 43

well, you're not forced to cheat on anyone, if that's what you mean. and you can't get too mad at makoto. he's not the only one who lacks morals. setsuna confessed to makoto through a wall, but makoto left for a while and karen heard it instead. it was very romantic, so karen decides to quote setsuna word for word while talking to makoto, but she doesn't say that those were setsuna's words. the women are all bitches in this series. except for inori. she's pretty awesome
