You must have played Tales of Eternia which was a port of a PS One game. It was pretty good. Whatever you do stay far, far away from Tales of Hearts R if you ever get a Vita. It's abysmal. I'm forcing myself to finish it since I paid for it on PSN, and can't return it since it's a digital copy.

I'm playing Neputina 1 right now on my vita. It's pretty fun. My first neputina game.

Haha. I didn't plan to. I played all the main Neptunia games so far. Mechanically the first was the first in my opinion. With each iteration they improved the game mechanics. I find it funny that the whole franchise is a parody of the gaming world. Each goddess also represents a console.
