I had the opposite problem. My parents ONLY taught me Spanish as a child so by the time I started kindergarten I had no fuckin idea what anyone was saying since they only spoke English. My parents only spoke to me in English since then, so I don't remember any of my Spanish. I watched a few home videos of me as a child speaking Spanish and I have no clue what I'm saying
