Yes, got my car fixed. Cost about $300 USD. Hurts bad, but gotta have a car.

I was hoping to grab all the anime I might want to check out from 2014 before I leave, but I only have a month. Fall season is so massive I don't think it is possible anymore. :P

This latest season, one worth watching has been Dimension W.

BTW, re: external drives, if you're into eBay, I picked up a 5tb Seagate for under $150. I'm not running out of space any time soon.

When it comes to HDDs, one of the big considerations to making a purchase is to get it from a place that won't have any issues shipping me a new one if it's DOA. It's already happened to me before, and having no hassle to replace it is nice.

That said, HDD prices in Canada (and electronics in general) are terrible right now. Our weak dollar is doing us some serious damage with things we generally import from the US. It was over $160 per internal 4TB drive, and over $100 for the 2TB external. All together it was about $470 for the three drives, though I signed up for an Amazon card to get a $20 gift cert and an extra 2% back.

I was looking at buying a new Graphics card over December holidays, and GTX 970s which are about $300 in the US were "on sale" for ~$450 here. US prices are always better than ours, but that's kind of ridiculous. Almost all the GTX 970s are around $500 now last I checked.

Haha, if you really want to talk bad prices then we can talk about booze (ours have crazy taxes, so most things will cost about 2x or more than in the US). I'm more of a rum fan than a whisky fan. :)

That's why it is very important when visiting the US to pick up some booze. You can often get a 40 of something in the US for a good deal less than you can get it in a 20 here.
