well not exactly, android is much complex OS that tends to use to much resources of the hardware, well and many devices are shipping their devices with towns of bloatware inside, I wanted a Pure clean android device and Nexus was something that i realy wanted to but Samsusng win me overall.

well both are china made so no need to worry about ;) even apple is saying at the back side designed in Californian assembled in China... ;)
