and i also like the idea of learning at least parts of multiple languages. just randomly go on a trip with people, and you start talking to the locals, and they just wonder, "why do you know afrikaans?"
Exactly lol. If I would've kept up with the languages I did I would be decent in: Filipino (Tagalog), Hindi, German, French, Turkish, Greek, Spanish and Italian.
Instead, I now know Dutch, English, bits of Spanish and bits of Japanese lol
well you live in Europe. you guys have all the languages lol. in north america, the main languages are spanish, english, and french. and french is only in canada. i just know english and some spanish.
but as you can see, my desire to learn is genuine, even if the motivations are weird lol
Why not take some courses/classes for languages or something. I'm going to Japanese class this February :3
Infa a question. What do you prefer? Metric or Imperial Units?
i'm american, we're only taught imperial. we only learn metric in passing really
hum hum
basically, i don't prefer either one, because i don't know metric enough to have a valid opinion
Neither do i with imperial
i don't think it really matters. i think the only problem is that people want a universal measuring method
