The forum as a whole is dying. No new posters, no new events. A lot of things make it look stale i.e. those sticky threads which are long dead and should already be long unstuck. Even the IRC is dead. The only thing that's keeping it alive is the download section, but there's no sense of community there. =\
We need some kind of reformation. =\

Pretty much. The admins are still around to take care of technical problems, but the duty of keeping this place interesting is also ours. =\
I personally want to revive some of our AST projects but I'm not going to do everything by myself. I think we also should give this forum a new look, to show that we still care even only on the surface. =\

revamping the website and giving it a new look is good on paper, but in practice, it needs to be done with caution. a change could attract new people, but at the same time, alienate the current users

Maybe not something as big as revamping. I'm only thinking about a new forum background based on some recent eroge or something, because it's been 3 years already.
Also, some of the sticky threads must be purged. =\
For AST the only thing I need now are cleaners and typesetters (only need photoshop knowledge). That's what I can do for now.
