Cherry pie is truly a classic. If made correctly, the cherries still hold enough juice to be both sweet and tart. That tartness sometimes can be overbearing, so a nice flaky crust wiped with some egg wash and sprinkled with sugar may cut it out.

As you first take a bite of that flaky golden crust, you savor how moist and buttery it is while that red liquid seeps within to slowly tickle your throat. Very delectable indeed.
