For those learning Japanese, if you got the hang of Hiragana and Katakana, you basically know Japanese.

There's like 2,000 Kanji characters though. Which is why Hiragana is common for children or people just starting out.

Kanji is basically Chinese, so you'll get the hang of it if you're familiar with Chinese characters.

There's actually waay more than 2.000, it's just that the average Japanese child with regular education graduates from high school knowing around 2.000, and normally they pass away of age knowing around 2.000 characters

There's really cool game shows where they quiz "talents" on how many Kanji they know (*´▽`*)

Kanji is super important if you're taking Japanese seriously

Yep... You'd better start learning those Chinese characters... Cause there are 2134 characters to learn before you can read Japanese well...

I'm good with 1900 kanji until now...
I even wrote my class notes and my club announcement in Japanese...
