I say start with usual light hearted sch romance and nukige eroges. Avoid most Nitro+ and gag parody comedy titles (since u need to understand them completely to get the joke).

Play the easier 1s and dont stop even if u cant understand completely. I started with only basic japanese and kanjis 3 years ago. The more u play, the better u get and improve (I am able to understand Nitro + titles 70-80 % now XD). I know a bunch of frens who started playing 3 years ago with only some jap skills and can play deep titles now.

It also helps if u know elite players/frens who play the same releases that period of time so u can just ask around for details/meanings. I always bug my senpais for details i dont understand. We always play the same bunch of releases the same time anyway.

Always ask around ppl who completed the particular eroge for difficulty and impression/review of that eroge.

i thought Gdragon only played usual moe sch romance like Prismrhythm and Nekokoi XD.

Key titles isnt hard.. its the absurd choices and branchings that make it hard lol.. If u dont use walkthrough , u can take 1 month + to fin 100 % ~_~. Jun Maede scenario is quite simple but he knows hw to make simple stories into heartwarming and touching 1s.

Key's new title, Rewrite will be different though since they use Ryuukishi07 and Romeo Tanaka as scenario writers. Ryuukishi07 is known for his ................ complicated scenarios.
