Romance to make yourself feel better is not something that makes you happy. A relationship based on selfishness will always end (via breakups and divorce). Relationships are about making the other person feel better, doing things for them and receiving in return. You can't put all of the pressure of happiness on your partner, that's not how it works. Also, a relationship is serious business. If you're ready to have a family, a job, teach your children, take them places, etc. etc. Then you should consider a relationship. A relationship that's just for fun will only lead to heartbreak. Also, you will have marriage problems on the road. The only way through them is by working together.
There's nothing wrong with wanting one, but it certainly is trouble to be depressed about not having one. A person worth loving is a person worth waiting For. I'd rather be alone for 1000 years waiting for that person, than go through 1000 breakups.
