At some point in the relationship, a girl may give either the guy or themselves a test of love. She might be trying to find out how much you mean to her, without having any special connections. It doesn't mean she hates you, even if the relationship is ended. Solving her problems is basically like saving her life before it's taken away. She may become attached to you because of that, which is what she may be avoiding. If she's been in other relationships, she may be trying to not make the same mistakes.

Another major thing is the test of confidence and assurance. If, for some reason, something goes wrong in the relationship, how would you respond? Regardless of how badly she treats you, would you keep her? That may be what she is trying to learn. This is something that has become popular, but is still pretty immature to do.
