Hmm in China (and various other countries) it is somewhat more rarer to find females since they favor male children... Theyre somewhat nutsy anyhow =.= But normally there would be more females in any population... Aka the chance of a female child is slightly higher than a male... which is odd now that i think of how theres just four whatever combinations... guess scientists dont understand it all yet... Anyhow theres pride and whatever other crap involved with having a male child...

Not sure if you knew what Mystic Eyes of Death Perception were or not as I was skim reading the posts. But if you didn't Sammy this video shows what it basically is. Its a slight spoiler to the first Kara no Kyoukai movie out of the seven movies but yeah. *shrugs*

1:12 is the actual lines that you see with the Mystic Eyes. Those lines are basically the lines of "death", everything that exists has a points or lines that show its death, no matter what it is as long as you can see the lines you can kill anything be it living or not. So if you can see those lines and trace them with something which it may be that you are tracing the lines of will die. I can't go into much more detail about it without spoiling Kara no Kyoukai or Tsukihime's stories but yeah, that is basically what they do and how they work.
