Photoshop should run smoothly on a 2GB RAM.

Also, I recommend installing the 32-bit version of Photoshop, since you can't perform some stuff on 64-bit.

if you apply 8gb ram to 32bit system, just 3,5gb is usable.

my ram is 4gb and use 32bit, I want to change it to 64bit, but I'm too lazy to do that, guess I'll finish all of my VN first

it only use 3.5 GB of ram, even if you have 128GB installed. 64bit can handle up to 192GB if you use Win7 professional or higher

the newest windows server can handle 2TB of RAM if i didn't wrong
