eh that's probably part of it, but mainly, i just don't put the event onto a pedestal. i don't get emotional invested enough for it to be too painful. it obviously sucks, but it's not gonna kill me. i kinda have a "fuck it" attitude with it

How rude of you... Think how you would've felt in his position when everyone are teasing him. He could need a person that will support him instead of teasing him. You should treat him in the same way as you want to be treated.

that's actually why i do it, though i try not to. i hate it when people sugar-coat things for me, even when it comes to things like relationships. i'd much rather someone tell me something in a seemingly mean way, than make it sound nicer than it actually is. don't ask my why, it's just simpler i guess

ex. if i was talking about your shoes
