Yeah I guess I just not super-duper into games lately, and my brother keeps buying new consoles (like ps2 and ps3) so I sometimes will play games on those.

FFXIV theme on my PS3 right now. I even have a FFXIV theme on my computer right now as well.

I am going to get the game for PS3 though, since I assume the controls are more lenient. Just a few more days until I can get it. Might preorder though.

I guess I've never been a big FF fan. Didn't play them until I was a teenager, and then I just didn't really enjoy them. :/

I just never liked the plots very much I guess. I've also never played the supposed best ones either (6 or 7).

Sometimes their characters aren't very likable either (I think it was 12 or something where he was super annoying).

Never played the early FF games, such as the 8-bit/16-bit ones. I started at FFVII, but didn't like it until I played more turn-based games. After that, I had a disliking of FF because the stories and characters were too half-assed, I guess. Like, FFVIII had the most confusing storyline, but if it was acted like a dream, then it's possibly the best story out of any FF game.

@samyeung46 - That would be FFX/FF10.

@sam yeah that was the one I think, or titus sounds familiar. It played a bit like Contact, or an MMO. I hate it when they try to portray me as a moron. If they are going to do so, at least make me a super overpowered moron or something to make up for it.

Yeah I always feel they have weak characters and plot, but I guess I don't like most RPGs for those reasons. I've only actually played a few RPGs that I've really liked, which is too bad because I think it is a great genre. :/

Well I mean at least be a tough character. Like Vyse in Skies of Arcadia: nobody would mess with Vyse. He is a badass.

Hmm did they? I think they had a guy with guns that wasn't half bad, but other than that...

And it is more like the main character is the portrayal of myself in the game, so he needs to be a decent person, and not a crap-piece.

That is why I also like mostly silent main characters, because then can generally come across however you want them to.
