Well, anime characters are built to be an ideal (a simplified and slightly exaggerated ideal, most of the time), so it would make sense why you may think they are more attractive.

You may also... see them more often than other people... and thus be more used to them? XD

And I'm not sure they will ever be able to make me like a 3D model of an anime character. It just doesn't quite work. The style wasn't really designed to 'make sense' as much as it was to look good.

Well if it is 2d and drawn, you can draw it to look good from every angle. You don't have to be really stiff with your anatomy and make it 100% correct, looking good comes first. If it is 3d then everything is locked into place, and there will be all kinds of angles that end up looking strange. That is what I meant in my last post. :)
