I think Canada just borrows a bit from all over the world. We have poutine though (even though I don't really like it).

And why not alcohol? It is probably even cheaper where you are than where I am (tons of taxes on it in Canada... pretty much doubles the price :().

Oh nope nope. I was just thinking of what food might be called "Canadian".
Poutine normally is not spicy at all, it is just French Fries with cheese and gravy. :)
We are also known for maple syrup I guess, but that isn't really a meal/food by itself.


@madd I think I remember reading that too spicy food actually kills off taste buds. So the reason that less spicy things don't cut it anymore is just that your taste buds died, as far as I know. But they of course repair themselves too.

When I have a chance,I want to eat it.
And maple syrup is tasty.It is offen used in Japan at between-meals refreshments too.

I don't tihink a drink in alcohol tastes good,but there is many cocktails looked beautiful.

Also, I thought that about alcohol too for a long time, but then I tried some kinds that I really liked (such as rum). It can also be very good in cooking :)

@madd It is all about finding the kind you like, and then trying various types of it. There are tons of kinds I don't like at all, and some I find quite vile, but then there are some I rather like. Wine is decent, but I haven't tried enough to know much about it. :D
