Also Dark is doing this on a solid state, not a mechanical drive. That will make a big difference.

Solid State the ONLY WAY!!! Except the external and the emergency backup disk that are mechanical... but my main disk on each of my laptop (exept my crapy hp 2150 mini laptop) all the other are with SSD on-board!

Hmm SSD is for programs and OS, for everything else/storage mechanical is fine.

Really depends what you are doing, but for programs and OS SSD is much better. For files it normally won't make a big difference though.

yeah the execution is faster but SSD's run up the cost quite a bit.

also sometimes some mechanical drives can run fast as some lower end SSD's drives.
